Guest guest
The doctor I called today is my neurologist. He is at an awesome MS clinicl in downtown Houston and is the best at what is at the forefront of research. BUT....personally, he just doesn't do anything for me. Not a lot of compassion, brief appointments, just not what you need when you are dealing with a scary, unpredictable disease. On the other hand, the nurse that called me back at 6:30 tonight, was great. She listened, answered questions, and was very compassionate. I now have her direct phone number. He did put me on Baclofen-10mg (?) at bedtime. I will go pick it up tomorrow and see how it goes. I do have to say that I have the most wonderful family doctor. She never makes me feel like a hypocondriac and listens until the last question is asked. She has a personal friend with MS, so I think she has more experience because of that. Her office is 10 minutes from my house and she takes care of other issues, but I thought this one was best left for the MS specialist. n, it is great that you got your chair. I hope to hear of your fun adventures soon. :-) thanks everyone, question about spasms I have a concern that maybe some of you who have had this MonSter longer than I have can help me with. I have had MS for almost three years. I am on Rebif injections and have been very stable so far. For the last week, I have been having neck/shoulder pain that has been pretty intense. It's feels like my muscles are really tense. Last night, I layed down in the bed and started having cramps in my legs. Then, I woke up this morning and couldn't get out of bed because of a stabbing pain in my back. After meds and the heating pad, I did finally get up. I went to get a massage and the girl said that my back/neck and shoulders are in terrible knots. My legs still feel very crampy and stiff. I have never had any of this before. Does this sound MS related? Just age....??? Should I call my dr? thanks for any help offered,
Guest guest
It's wonderful you have such a fantastic family doctor! Doesn't that feel wonderful? I hope the baclofen does the trick for you and takes care of the muscle pain/tightness/spasms. Let us all know how you are doing.hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
