Guest guest
sharon, no, i have not used it but knew someone (in 1997) who used it quite often when she got uti symptoms and she swore by it! i googled and came up with these sites: (be sure to read all of the posts and then make up your own mind) http://www.tipking.co.uk/tip/2849.html http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070709071938AAQELp5 http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Can_one_cure_urinary_tract_infections_with_Alka-Seltze\ r http://www.homeremediesweb.com/urinary_tract_infection_home_remedy.php when i got my very first uti, sharon, i did not know what it was. i didn't know i had one. i had no idea of the sypmtoms, even. i just started peeing really often and the second i got done peeing, my body signaled me i had to do it again! it was frustrating but i blew it off and applied that symptom to my MS. about a week later i had such bad, screaming pain inside my thigh when i tried to take a step (and i don't walk much and without holding onto something) that i asked hubby to take me to the er. i knew something was wrong. the er doctor's asked me if i had blood in my urine, to which i replied " no, " because i hadn't seen any blood. (you can't really see it, lol. it's not like it's separated from the urine, lol) they had me take a pee test first thing and it came back with blood in the urine and bacteria. my first learning experience with uti's. i got uti's regularly (2-3 a year) over the next couple of years and, after my first one, just started going to my doctor's office at the first signal/sign. finally, one of the pa's told me to increase my daily vitamin c and drink lots of water every day. i thought i already drank a bunch of water (living in phoenix will make you thirsty, lol). now i drink even more water and take 500mg of chewable vitamin c 3 times a day and i've not had a uti for a year or more. once in a while when i get a *twinge* of what i *think* might be a uti, lol, i drink a bottle of unsweetened, regular old cranberry juice. NOT ocean spray cocktail but the real thing. it's expensive ($6? maybe) but cheaper than a trip to the urgent care, my doctor's or the antibiotics. diva > > > > I don't know if this is MS related or not. I am have very frequent urination and a lot of urine most of the time. I don't hurt at all but I am getting some spasms in my bladder when I need to urinate. This has been going on for about 2 weeks but does seem to be getting worse. > > > > Anyone else have this? > > > > > > Sharon > > This email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
I'm going to look for that kind of cranberry juice when I go to the store next. I think you said it was Knudsen's brand, right?hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
