Just an addition to my previous post. www.nourishinghope.com will help you, as well as another book called: Healing our autistic children by A. Buckley M.D. (we got at library) In the book she emphasises and explains the importance of GFCF. I want to add our children are worth the financial sacrifice. We are their main hope and lifeline to recovering. My husband and I dont have cable, we dont eat out much, our neighbor lets us use their internet, we drive one car. It isn't a huge deal because we enjoy seeing our son progress and also we deal with less melt down drama. Best of luck to you!!!!!

Buckley M.D. (we got at library) In the book she emphasises and explains the importance of GFCF.  I want to add our children are worth the financial sacrifice.  We are their main hope and lifeline to recovering. I think most DAN! docs and some integrative medicine folks would be fine writing such a letter. It will require a visit, and the related financial outlay, but probably worth it if you are this worried.I am about to face this issue as my son enters preschool. I'm hoping to slip in under the radar and assuming that no one at this tiny school actually goes through all the paperwork. But if they hound me, I'm going get our doc to write a letter. Please if anyone has any info for the Tdap vaccine. My sons school sent a letter stating that it is MANDATORY that he gets it

before returning to school. To say the least I'm scared to death. I do not want to give this to him but I dont know what my options are.

Vaccinations are not mandatory for school. West Virginia and Massachusetts I believe are the only 2 states that a letter is required by an MD that the child would be in jepordy if he/she received vaccines. Otherwise, there is an exemption form available. Even easier than that, all you have to do is write a letter stating that you do not want your child to be vaccinated. That's it........Anytime I get a letter from the school, I write down on a piece of paper that I know my rights and that I choose to not have my child vaccinated...........that's the end of it!!!!! They bully parents into believing that this is MANDATORY because they get funded for each child that is FULLY VACCINATED....Religion doesn't even have to be mentioned.

There is a doctor in my area that has an exemption form if you would like something that looks more official.....but like I said, a piece of paper and your statement is all you need. If you would like to obtain this form you could call his office and they will gladly send it to you and any other information they have about the vaccines for free.

I would never do it, I believe it is what triggered the autism in my little Kara......neither her or my 2 other children will EVER BE VACCINATED AGAIN.......................

Hi there,

For the religious exemption I went to my rector (Episcopal) and told them I was submitting one and would like their support. I'm in a small town and the superintendent of schools goes to my church. To put in a religious exemption could cause problems because the Episcopal church believes in vaccines. I told them that God asked me to care for this child, God gave me literacy, and with what I've learned in certain populations vaccines can cause damage. I believed based on sound scientific evidence that I would harm my child by vaccinating and God would not want that. I gave some literature (Hannah Poling) and more. I have the churches full support today.

It sickens me beyond words the lengths and battles we must endure just to try to help out children!

Have you had his titers run? If his titers are fine he doesn't need the booster and the district will accept a copy of the test results and a note from the doctor.

Your only other option is a religious exemption. We filled out the official NYS form. In the part where you describe your beliefs we wrote a long letter on separate paper and wrote "see attached" on the NYS form. We had the NYS form and our letter notarized with both parents signatures and turned it in to the school.

My son has in school 5 years and we never heard another word about it.

I've only heard of a handful of districts that question the religious exemption beyond the initial submitting of the forms. If you use the NYS form and have it all notarized and written clearly and precisely, it's accepted. I'm on Long Island and have only heard of 2 districts that have issues with it. One fought the parents tooth and nail and lost in court. They probably won't bother hassling the next set of parents since the first set cost them a fortune in legal fees.

As far as religious exemption, if your religion is against abortion, you can say this is your reason for refusing vaccines since there are like 11 or 13 that use aborted human fetal cells in their production. I am not sure but it is at least 11, and I don't know if Tdap is one that has them, but that might be a good argument that they can understand. There are lots of articles out there on pro lifers and the Vatican denouncing vaccines containing aborted human fetal cells. Hope this helps.From: "wbrecovery@..."

Unfortunately, I don't believe it will be that simple to just write a letter. In the letter they sent me they did get the message accross thatthey mean business(its from the school nurse). For the religious exemption I went to my rector (Episcopal) and told them I was submitting one and would like their support. I'm in a small town and the superintendent of schools goes to my church. To put in a religious exemption could cause problems because the Episcopal church believes in vaccines. I told them that God asked me to care for this child, God gave me literacy, and with what I've learned in certain populations vaccines can cause damage. I believed based on sound scientific evidence that I would harm my child by vaccinating and God would not want that. I gave some literature (Hannah Poling) and more. I have the churches full support today.

It sickens me beyond words the lengths and battles we must endure just to try to help out children!

Please if anyone has any info for the Tdap vaccine. My sons school sent a letter stating that it is MANDATORY that he gets it

before returning to school. To say the least I'm scared to death. I do not want to give this to him but I dont know what my options are.

Where can I find out the ingredient/chemical breakdown? Or is there any way of getting out of this? My son is almost twelve and has

come along way in his recovery. He even told me "Mommy if if I get that shot It'll ruining everything"! "I dont want it!" He is aware that

his autism was caused by trippling up his vaccines at 8 mos old. I will greatly appreciate any feedback.

Just an addition to my previous post. www.nourishinghope.com will help you, as well as another book called: Healing our autistic children by A. Buckley M.D. (we got at library) In the book she emphasises and explains the importance of GFCF. I want to add our children are worth the financial sacrifice. We are their main hope and lifeline to recovering. My husband and I dont have cable, we dont eat out much, our neighbor lets us use their internet, we drive one car. It isn't a huge deal because we enjoy seeing our son progress and also we deal with less melt down drama. Best of luck to you!!!!!

Unfortunately, I don't believe it will be that simple to just write a letter. In the letter they sent me they did get the message accross thatthey mean business(its from the school nurse). We are in Longwood School district. I sent an email directly to you with the form attached. Didn't mention a specific religion just "strong Christian Morals" I will send you directly 2 sample letters that we worked off of. On the first page of the 2 that you will get, there are 2 paragraphs I put in bold for you. Make sure you include them because the law does state that they are not allowed to question your beliefs, but they will try!

Going to email it privately since I don't know if attachments come through in the group.

Oh yeah, and besides our religious exemption, every year when my son has his physical his pediatrician runs his titers for us, as back up just in case. My son is 8 and has not had a vaccine since he was 15 months old. His numbers are all still great and he has no medical need for boosters.
