Guest guest
I thought I would update everyone on my son.I took him on a vacation to see family in Colorado last week. There is an Osteopath that has treated my son as a newborn (Collic days) and as a 2 yr. old with collic still. His treatments never helped in the past ,but I was digging for a diagnosis without blood work.He came up with that it is my sons Gallblader. The other times he came up with that also, but as we see his treatments didn't work.He said he always thought it was unusual because he had only seen that in old people. He suggested a Gastro specialist in my town this time. There are no good ones that I have found.I am looking for ones that take insurance. I live in Kansas but will travel. Our doc. at Ku med center doesn't listen. My sons ins should work if its at any Hospital.(Medicaid).I would really love to hear any ideas you all may have about this issue. If I have to take him to that doc.(that doesn't take ins.) you all talked of rescently,I will do that too.I suppose the doc I am looking for has to go above and beyond the normal bloodwork because its not showing up there.Thank you,Tammy F. Guest guest
Hi Tammy,Not sure this would help but I recently started my kids on Lypo Gold enzymes by Enzymedica. It has lipase in it and their stools tests last summer indicated that they needed more of it for fat digestion. Sometimes they have lighter color stool (not white though). Anyway, the bottle says "gallbladder support" so maybe this would be helpful for your son? I do remember that when we started it that their stools went from yellowish to a more normal color for awhile. The only gastros I have heard about are Krigsman in NYC area and Buie (sp?) in Boston?? Others from this group have recommended them too.I hope you find some more answers!!
