Just got this........ .......Howdy Folks!Yahoo is at it again and then some!If any of you are noticing any trouble with your Yahoo groups or groupsaccounts... there is nothing your owners and mods can do for you... they arehaving the same issues.There is no need to unsub, you have not been removed, your email has notbeen blocked, and your groups have not been deleted... these are ALLtemporary glitches brought about by Yahoo's recent attempts at groupmaintenance. We all know that anytime Yahoo tries to fix something, theyusually mess up more stuff than they actually fix.Starting back in May, Yahoo started attempting to fix the group messagearchives. This has been an ongoing issue with all groups for several

yearsnow. Yahoo has finally decided to address the message archive issues andhas started switching groups over to their new message archiving system.In order to do this conversion, they have been taking groups offline anddisabling group email. THIS IS ONLY TEMPORARY! DON'T PANIC! This is whygroup email has been suddenly stopping completely for hours and days at atime. This is also why your groups keep disappearing from your groupslistings or are unable to be found at all. It's an outage... you're groupsHAVE NOT been deleted.These outages have also been causing Yahoo users major headaches becausepeople are finding that their individual email settings have been effectedtoo. Some people cannot post at all, some folks have been put onauto-responder for no good reason, some are getting errors stating theiremail to their

groups is blocked or that Gmail is not enabled for Yahoogroups. These are ALL glitches because of the message archiving conversionthat Yahoo is doing. All you or I can do is deal with the problems andnotify Yahoo and wait for them to finally correct the problems. In mostcases, when you notify Yahoo, it will be days before you hear anything backfrom them and in most cases it will only be a generic form letter tellingyou that they are aware of the problem and they are working to resolve it.Anyone who is an owner or mod can try to access Yahoo Moderator Central orthe Yahoo Groups Blog... but most of the info available on there is outdatedThe most recent information I've been able to find from Yahoo is fromMarch of this year. But MANY users have posted to the forums complaining ofthe same issues we're all currently facing... Yahoo doesn't seem to bereplying to

any of them.Just Monday night... most of my groups disappeared and all group emailstopped. Nothing I posted was going through and even groups I own weremissing. As you can guess, I freaked out and was really upset. I startedresearching the issue and found out that it is a problem with Yahoo and theemail message archiving conversion. There is absolutely nothing I or anyother group owner/mod can do about it. We're all in the same boat togetherand must weather these issues together as best as we can.
