Hi Guys, I've got a friend with an 8 month old (breast fed). Pooping's becoming a problem. She's cut the binding foods out of her diet and started giving him aloe vera juice. He's pooping now, but it's the consistency of little rocks. She's going to further refine her diet before she goes to the doc (which will inevitably be "give him miralax".) I'm going toencourage her to cut out dairy. What kind of other advice should I be giving her? She eats a pretty clean diet. Thanks,Tammy

Guest guest
You can find these in the refrigerator at Vitamin Shoppe. All the ones I go to have two fridges, one with convenience power drinks and water, one with supplements. It is obviously in the supplement one. She can just ask the rep at VS to show them where the refrigerated probiotics are. doh!Thank you!!!!! -Tammy To: mb12valtrex Sent: Saturday, February 4, 2012 12:58 PM Subject: Re: Constipated baby... Guest guest
Maybe give him some prune juice, or pureed prunes. Also if you do deceide to give Nux Vomita you can dissolve a pellet in a tablespoon of water (in a shot glass) and give the water to him. It'll take about 10 or 15 minutes to dissolve (use filtered water if possible). , Thank you! I'll pass it along. -Tammy To: mb12valtrex Sent: Friday, February 3, 2012 11:55 PM Subject: Re: Constipated baby... Guest guest
Is SHE drinking enough water? Many moms dont realize just how much water they need to drink while nursing. At least 10 -8oz glasses per day and more if they take in any caffeine.i meet people all the time that tell me they drink enough fluids but when they start counting they realize they may actually be drinking only half of what they need or think they are. The general rule is half your weight in water. If a person weighs say 140pounds then they need a minimum of 70 ounces of water daily.More for a breastfeeding mom.
