Guest guest
Can anybody PLEASE tell me what should be the normal range of mercury in blood serum and whole blood? Or it should be there not at all? Also, is urinary mercury more reliable measure than the serum or whole blood level? As far as I know, urinary will be indicative of tissue level. Thanks in anticipation.----------Ratan Singh, Phone: 91 141 2652561, mail: ratanpsych@...- Certificate in Food & Nutrition; Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education; Life Member, Nutrition Soc. of India; Member ISOM- Author of "Nutrition & Supplements in Major Mental Illnesses";- M.A. (Psychol), Postgraduate Diploma in Medical & Social Psychology, Ph.D.;- Certified Behavior Therapist (from late Prof. J. Guest guest
Lab: Doctor's DataReference Range (Urine Toxic metals) for mercury: < 5 ug/g creatToxic metals are reported as ug?g creatinine to account for urine dilution variatons.Reference ranges are representative of a healthy population under non-challenge ornon-provoked conditions. No safe reference levels for toxic metals have beenestablished.Lab: metametrixElement Analysis- Erythrocytes and Whole Blood Mercury ( 99% Reference Interval ) <= 41.5 ppb*Results for whole blood toxic elements that are within normal limits do not rule outmetal accumulation in other tissues. This can be evaluated by urinary porphyrin or 24-hour urine chelation challege tests.I GOT THIS INFO FROM MY DAUGHTER'S LAB RESULTS. I hope this will help, mhel To: mb12valtrex From: ratanpsych@...Date: Fri, 26 Aug 2011 20:42:38 +0530Subject: RE: Mercury level Can anybody PLEASE tell me what should be the normal range of mercury in blood serum and whole blood? Guest guest
Mercury. like lead, packs away in the body in a relatively short time. Unless you have recent acute exposure blood and urine will be negative. Lots of info in the files of http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Autism-Mercury/ A Hair Elements Test would be the best way to see if mercury toxicity may be a problem and can tell of other toxins. > > > Can anybody PLEASE tell me what should be the normal range of mercury in blood serum and whole blood? Guest guest
Ratan,....if you find out the exact answers to your questions posed here,...will you please copy back to me....I am going through this intensive research/supplement/testing/observing process with our 4.5 year old ASD/ADHD boy and haven't yet dared to chelation. I was informed that you could use Iodine, Selenium and Zinc to help purge some metals from the body,...and after giving my boy just a very complete multivitamin, it appeared that his behavior was say 40% better after a few hours had passed. Lysine may be the reason for our "wow" moments today, that stuff is really amazing...however always worries me what is too much, and I think the metal situation is the next step of attack for us! Thanks... and if you can, please write me at danandalisabeth@... so I can keep track of you!
