Guest guest
Biotin is a b vitamin. People take high doses when they want to help their hair and skin.I see hand licking and stuff when minerals are messed up, and when my son has b12. He has high b12 though, and not from supp. There's something hosed in my son's metabolism, we haven't quite figured it out. I know his zinc gets low, but now his copper is low, ferritin is low, and magnesium tests as normal but he is twitchy and has seizure activity, restless legs (low mag symptom) Anyway, we follow low oxalate diet and dumping oxalate will rob your body of minerals. Is there any chance you've made a diet change which might have increased oxalate intake orreduced it dramatically enough to cause the body to go into a " dump " ? Then minerals will bind up to circulating oxalate and be excreted at a high rate.Hope that makes sense.Biotin dependent reactions are heavily impaired when oxalate is high in circulation. No, I think his last dose of mb12 was about a month ago. Any other thoughts? what is biotin?-- Toni------Mind like a steel trap...Rusty and illegal in 37 states.
