And I have noticed a strange thing.. All the family members bath sponges can be easily rinsed clean after use, but my son's ALWAYS feels sticky and hard to be rinsed clean after he takes his bath. I use lots of soap and hot water to remove the viscidity off the sponge. I should add that my son sweats normally but he smells slightly cleaner than you would expect in a hot humid summer climate, not a healthy thing.. I assume. My son is currently on Cod liver oil, probiotics, multi-vitamins and minerals, B12+Mg -Ã "only recently". Any hint on what could be causing this? Guest guest
We have Porphyrines, oxidative stress, OAT, and other tests sent to Philippe Auguste Lab and expecting results in a few days, so maybe these will give answers to your suspicions regarding my son's " problem " . How do you give Epson salt baths if you don’t have a bath tub? Thanks for your thoughtsNoura Re: Strange bath observation Posted by: " T Lynn " t.lynn28@... t.lynn28@... Guest guest
Ah ha! It just so happens we don't have a bathtub. Only a shower, in the world's smallest bathroom. We do footbaths. They're just as effective and he loves them. We homeschool so we usually do this while he's doing his work. It works out perfect because a) he has to keep still to do his work anyhow and he finds it very soothing so it keeps him calm while he's trying to fucus. I keep a bag of epsom salt at my mom's. Once in a while I'll give him a full bath there. -Tammy To: mb12valtrex Sent: Sunday, August 28, 2011 9:11 PMSubject: Re: Strange bath observation We have Porphyrines, oxidative stress, OAT, and other tests sent to Philippe Auguste Lab and expecting results in a few days, so maybe these will give answers to your suspicions regarding my son's "problem". Guest guest
It could be metals....wow...is he improving little by little everyday. He could be excreting the metals. My daughter regressed when she is2 years old and started to have a blackish, sticky pooh foryears. She is considered high functioning autism. I think shereleased metals by herself thru pooh that's why she didn'tregressed to worst state but still diagnosed with autism(no interest in socio, nonverbal to only one word communicationbecause of intervention but with lots of stimming) but pottytrained at 3 to 4 years old. The "clay bath" helped her butI overdo do it because I became so excited about it and didit every other day. It seems that every time I do the clay bath,I'm gaining something. My daughter went to a "healing"crisis that I wasn't able to tolerate so I stopped the clay bath. She got so sick that I called the "evenbetternow.com" andrecommended to give her activated charcoal. I was so afraidthat I did not gave the activated charcoal and thought it might worsen the situation. So, I stopped the clay bath.Research on it, because if I remember it right, somekids releases "something" on their skin that is sticky, same thing as you are describing. It might help in pullingsome more metals. But while you are doing the clay bath, you need "emergen-C" or pedialyte because it also pullout minerals from the body. Kindly research on this. My worryis my daughter is a girl and she might have UTI with thisbut the company is saying that these are clean. But reallyI overdo it. When my child was on healing crisis, thecompany recommend to just do it once a week and lowerthe dose. My mistake is I increased the frequency and thedose, too. If ever just follow the recommended frequencyand dose. Even with one bath, you might see a difference. She is more focused and less stimming every time I didthe bath. Now I will be meeting with Dr. West on Sept. 6recommended by Cheryl (THANK YOU CHERYL) from this group to begin the antiviral/antifungal protocol. I"M SO EXCITED. But given a chance, I will try again the clay bath bath with precaution. I hope this help. Guest guest
Go to this website...http://www.evenbetternow.com/It will explain things better. At first, I'm so HESITANT about this. Butthen I called them, explain things to me and I was convinced totry it and saw some difference. I got my clay bath from them:evenbetternow.com . There are also some website selling thisbut this is the one that I tried. Lots of details you could read thereor call them they will answer all your questions. I even saidto the one I talked to: Be honest to me, is this going to helpmy kid? (crying) During this time, I'm very new to any interventionand my daughter had a very late diagnosis at 5 years old.Die-off reaction could be anything. With my child, it's a flu-likesymptoms. One week that she did not go to school, so weak. And also, it pull out some minerals from the body aside fromthe metals. So make sure you replace the electrolytes and minerals.I called them and said that my child is on a healing crisis butI'm so scared to continue. But now, I know about Activated charcoalbut before clueless about this. I still have a big jar of clay in thecloset and did not throw it away. Every child is different, soone could be of help to others but to others could be ineffective. It's good to try because it's only by trial if you know yourchild will be a responder. I'm trying a lot of things now soI cannot give it yet to my child. I asked the DAN doctor about itand said I could continue with it if I like but there are nostudies about clay bath. But mostly of the things that weare doing have no studies, too. This is only my experienceabout clay bath.I hope I could be of help. If you still have questions, justfree to ask.
