Guest guest
Interesting you should mention this. I never had neuropathy before I started taking blood pressure meds and the internal rash on my legs came when he added another blood pressure med. My dr.(not the same one) says the rash is caused by diabetes and showed me his too. I dont know what the connection is but I have had 4 drs and they all swear the neuropathy is not related to blood pressure meds but I didnt have it before meds. sharon High carb/lo carb The other day my doc informed me that my A1c (?) blood test " was beautiful. " When I told him that my neuropathy went from bad to worse the day after I started taking Avilide, he said he never heard it before, and he walked out of the room. Thanks. ~Lainie~
Guest guest
What is an internal rash? Are you sure the neuropathy is from diabetes? My Dr intends to do emg nerve test and a spinal ct scan (I can't have MRI's). He thinks mine may be caused by something other than my diabetes because it didn'y improve enough with the normal meds for diabetic neuropathy. _sunny --- shar2 shar2@...> wrote: > and the internal > rash on my legs came > when he added another blood pressure med. I don't know how long you have had diabetes, but do you suppose that the reason the neuropathy showed up when you started taking blood pressure meds is simply a timing issue? Maybe you would have developed the neuropathy even if you had not been put on the blood pressure meds. When you say 'internal rash' do you mean a discoloration around the ankles on the inside portions of the legs? I have this, and it's due to poor circulation. Fluids stand in the legs and stain the tissues. This happened before I actually noticed any swelling in my legs. This wouldn't likely be caused by blood pressure medicines, or even diabetes necessarily. However, poor circulation is common with a combination of diabetes and high blood pressure. Again, I don't think it would be caused by the blood pressure medicine, simply an occurance showing up at the same time due to the other conditions.
