Recently I received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitudeand an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's mouth wasrude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. I tried and tried to changethe bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playingsoft music and anything else I could think of to "clean up"

thebird's vocabulary. Finally, I was fed up and I yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back.

I shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder. So,in desperation, I threw up my hands, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed.. Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute. Fearing that I'd hurt the parrot, I quickly opened the door tothe freezer. The parrot calmly stepped out onto my outstretched arm and said, "Ibelieve I may have offended you with my rude language and actions.I'm sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate

transgressions and I fullyintend

to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivablebehavior."I was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude. As I wasabout to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird continued, "May I ask what the turkey did?"HAPPY THANKSGIVING AND BLESSINGS TO ALL!*

Sharon,

I needed that chuckle.. though the one I remembered included

some feather gestures.. and no turkey.. LOL..

When I started reading this.. and the part about the words and

such.. I was going to write back to tell you that it would be

nearly if not completely impossible to un-learn the parrot those

words.. and that you should probably find and beat whomever

taught the parrots those words to within an inch of his/her

life.. LOL.. Should have known what was coming!!!

Yup.. slow on the draw I am I am..

ROFLMAO - I love it God, grant me the strength of eagles wings, the faith and courage to fly to new heights, and the wisdom to rely on his spirit to carry me there.

Yup.. you

definitely got me with that one.. Maybe you were able to "get

me" with it, because Earl has been trying desperately to get

Roxie to say "Fire it up!"... and I have to keep lecturing him

that she's going to outlive me.. and she will have to be

re-homed.. and if she picks up HIS things.. I'm gonna kill him..

and there my mind was when I started reading it..

But it was quite funny
