The state of Texas requires that you certify with the state of Texas through

their process. If you are already NREMT certified, it is a matter of filling out

the application, supplying a copy of your NREMT certification and paying the

fee. But you cannot work in Texas with just NREMT- you HAVE to become state

certified first. Hope this helps.

Does the State of Texas require NREMT prior to seeking employment, or is there a

grace period like other States have? I've tried looking this up under any sites

from the State EMS web-sites to no avail yet.

Thank you. I'll look into that further as I'm looking to move someplace warm

with more EMT-P job prospects.. On Sun, 1 Jun 2008 09:45:30 -0500, Jane
