Guest guest
HI there. I'm going to cross-post this on a couple lists, so please excuse if you are getting this more than once. I have a son who has been on Zithromax for about 1 1/2 months. He has positive high antibodies to Mycroplasma Pneumoniae, Strep, and CMV. He regressed about 2 years ago and went untreated the whole time, as we did not know what was causing the regression. I see definite improvements many days, but he still has bad days where he struggles greatly, and he has a really hard time going to school most days. I know that many try a round of low-dose steroids and that this can be helpful, if not a long-term fix. When do docs try this - at the end of the antibiotic round? Could you do it while on antibiotics? I am hoping that this will be helpful for my son. I just hate to see him on the bad days - he feels crazy and it causes him so much anxiety. It's just really hard. We are doing a 3-month stint of the Zithro and then moving to the Myco plus immune support. So, I was also wondering if anyone had tried the Myco natural remedy from Raintree? If so, how did it work for you? Ruth
Guest guest
My son was on antibiotics (azithro) while on high dose steroids (prednisone 1mg/kg for 4 weeks and then dose was tapered down the next 4 weeks). To: mb12valtrex Sent: Monday, September 5, 2011 9:57 PMSubject: PANDAS, steroids, Myco HI there. Guest guest
I can't really add much to the steroid discussion other than my son takes hydrocortisone for adrenal fatigue but I wanted to mention to you that ABX will do nothing for the CMV. ~Antiviral Therapy 101~ gryffinstail.wordpress.com/ ~~ @Gryffins_Tail ~ HI there.
