Guest guest
Yeah thats what I was talking about was something was just the opposite of what you were feeling. Its just crazy how my legs felt like ice to me but when Steve felt them they were completely warm. This is where I get a little troubled. From being a very athletic person who controlled her body to one who has hardly any control makes me feel very insecure at times. Thanks Reb for letting me know has experienced this too. But then the feet have actually been cold to the touch too. Then again, one of her relapses consisted of sensing touch/pressure as heat on one side of her lower body. I.e. if she sat down, one half of her would feel the chair just as usual, but the other half sensed heat instead... MS can really mess up sensations in all kinds of ways. love /Reb >> Hi everyone,.....I know we've talked about this before, but I don't remember if anyone has experienced exactly what I have been noticing lately when I feel so cold. > We were watching TV tonight and as usual my legs get really cold [also my hands], so I cover my legs from the knee down to my ankles. I have wool socks on with fleece slippers so my feet usually stay warm, and I can feel them being warm. Well I kept asking Steve [my hubby] why it was so cold in here as my legs felt like they were freezing. Of course he said it wasn't cold, and it was probably just me. I then had him come over and feel my legs to prove to him they were freezing, and he felt them BUT.......he said honey they are very warm to the touch!!! I said how could that be when they feel so cold to me? I have noticed this in other parts of my body now that I think about it, but its just so weird to have such a distortion of a sensory thing. Well as usual I looked up MS and cold body temps, and read quite a bit about cold hands and feet being very typical, but then I came across the below that explained what may be what I've been experiencing,> and was wondering if anyone else does too? Apparently, this is caused by a problem with communication to the parasympathetic nervous system and thence to the blood vessels in the hands , feet, etc. It's probably caused by a lesion in the spine, but could also be... Guest guest
I remember complaining to my old neuro that I felt a burning on my skin sometimes and other times a freezing.
