We have our first snow of the season. It's only a couple of inches but it is beautiful:) The sky is clearing now and the bright blue sky is showing through. The temp is supposed to stay below freezing today and the forecast is for 8 degrees low tonight. It's so pretty with the snow hanging in the branches of the juniper trees!(warm) hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. I always LOVE the first snow of the year :)

I've been putting out a few Xmas decorations here and there, but no tree up yet

Them's some bitter temps, ! Yikes. Do you have the fire going?Stay safe and warm. Thinking of you.love and warm hugs, KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Thu, December 30, 2010 3:18:56 PMSubject: RE: SNOW!

So far we have an inch or so - hard to tell since it's been snowing

sideways! - the worst thing is the temps. We're forecast for a high of 9

today, and MAYBE 2 degrees tomorrow.

According to the weather people, this storm is gonna be a lot worse when

it hits the "middle people"...

SNOW!

We woke to about a half foot of snow this morning and it's still falling.

It snowed light and fine all day yesterday but the wind was so fierce that

it blew it away. When I would look out yesterday the snow was horizontal in

the air. lol The wind calmed down overnight and the snow was able to stay

on the ground.

The closest town is about 20 miles away and the power is out there. Since

we are off-grid we don't have that problem.

I 40 is closed down across a lot of the state.....

Some areas in our mountains have two feet plus of snow already. We won't

get that much at our elevation (6000 feet).

It's not quite 8 am here and two grandkids have already been out to check

the sledding conditions:)

hugs

Alas, we don't HAVE a fire - we have on every electrical warming appliance

we can without tripping all the breakers, though... :-D And I have double

thermo-curtains hung over all the front-room windows, and a bunch of

purring furbabies, so no so bad in here. Hope everyone keeps warm, and

stays safe on the slicky roads out there!
