As I've mentioned before, I can relate to Sharon aboutbeing fearful of the dentist due to TN. I emailed theTNA (trigeminal neuralgia association) to find out ifthey could give me the name of a good dentist thatmight be well-versed in TN. He gave me the name of a Dr. Sirois in Manhattan. I was all ready to make anappointment, when I asked what the initial visit wouldcost, and almost fell off my chair when she said somewherebetween $450 and $550. She went on to say that it wouldbe reimbursed by medical and not dental insurance, ashe works with people with TN. They don't deal with theinsurance however, I'm on my own to do that. What wouldya'll do?Too scared to go to a regular dentist, but too scared off$-wise) to see this guy hugs to

all, Kate

Kate I hope you don't get upset with what I am going to say. You spend way more than that on the kids sports. YOU deserve to get the best treatment possible.

Hugs

Yikes! That's really expensive. So you would have to file the insurance claim yourself? Have you talked to your insurance company to find out how hard that is and how long it takes for reimbursement? That's the only dentist the TNA could tell you about? I don't know what I would do but then my TN is different than yours. Since you have a worse case of TN and have had to have gamma knife then I think you may want to go to this specialist if at all possible. big hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Yes, I'm thinking I should contact the insurance and find out what theprocedure and process is.I've had not one, but 2 gamma knife procedures, as well as the brainsurgery (MVD). Still on meds for it...As I am due to have a small windfall from my parents (their estate Ibelieve), I am inclined to go, as nne says, we DO spend a lotmore than this on hockey, and it would be nice to see a specialist. Thanks for your reply, Sharon. I appreciate it.love, Kate trigeminal neuralgia...> > > > > As I've mentioned before, I can relate to Sharon about> being fearful of the dentist due to TN.
