Guest guest
*sigh* Rob didn't stay for dinner which is FINE by me. He will be over Sunday (his 45th birthday) and yes, I will make a cake. His sister made him one and it was horrible lol and he told me he was sure I could do better, so I will lol...she burned it, and made a layer cake so it is burned on the bottom AND in the middle...oopsie! Well, as they say, it's the thought that counts...they even brought me leftovers, because Robbin told them I was going to do mine on Sun...I corrected that, told Rob I would do it on Sun *if theirs was not going to leave time on either side* for Robbin to build up an appetite...in other words, if they were going to do theirs say, at 4 p.m, then mine would have had to be either really early or really late, but the timing did work so I'm making mine now...the house smells awesome... ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ http://www.affiliates-natural-salt-lamps.com/pages/156.php

Guest guest
He actually had THIRDS on the yams!!!! To make them, first I boil them till a knife goes through easily, then let them cool (drain them, maybe run them through cold water if you're in a hurry), peel them, slice them, pour on some orange juice (add a little zest if you're using real oranges), sprinkle on some brown sugar and bake them. Guest guest
They can easily be made with fresh yams. When I use fresh yams I wrap them in foil and bake them for an hour. I cool them and then the skins slip off and I use the insides just like canned. SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
So you make them like baked 'taters? I usually boil them them they are tender, then let them cool and slip the skin off. I have made them baked for dinner, better then a baked 'tater, and way better for you! I did get a 10# bag of what they're calling "stuffers" from save-a-lot, they make the BEST bakers evah! I'm nuking them for about 15 mins (or till done) slice then open and toss in some butter and some velveeta then nuke them for another minute or so and they are SO yummy! They are actually creamy! Quick and easy...I'd use sour cream on them but I am out, hence the cheese... ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ http://www.affiliates-natural-salt-lamps.com/pages/156.php -- Re: He's home LOL...and poor Robin is going to be sick of turkey by the end of it all!www.laurabeaudin.com --NOT just another blog! http://practical-homeschooling.org *sigh* Rob didn't stay for dinner which is FINE by me.
