Guest guest
Hi Velvet, Thanks for the info. Sorry I'm so late replying, I haven't been online for a while. I've been using lots of aloe vera during the day and Aquaphor at night. I just had my 9th rad treatment Friday and although I know it's probably too early to tell, so far so good. One day at a time, eh? Thanks for telling me how to reply to e-mails, too! Take care and hope you're doing well, Cealy velvet girling osteonecrosisjaw@...> wrote: Hi Cealy You may not get any soreness, burns or blisters from your XRT ~ I hope not. I can recommend three products only because I used them but and and big but, I had internal XRT and it, so I learned afterwards always causes burns. This is going back 11 years now and things have changed a great deal in this time. I have just had some more (external beam) radiotherapy and had no problems whatsoever. Aloe Vera gel Flammazine which is silver sulphadiazine and I believe is a world wide preparartion and it's cousin Flammicerium which is for more serious burns Keep them wrapped in the fridge. This makes it wonderful to apply if you are sore though makes the ointment/gel a little thicker. To answer a post just click on reply. So when you read this, click on reply, when it comes on screen, click on the end of the words in the subject line, backspace all the words so it is clear then you can type new words in the subject line/box, for instance 'radiotherapy Velvet from Cealy' or leave certain words in rather than retype . I know someone is going to write in and say you can highlight and delete, which you can of course. Or you can compose, click on compose, add your words in the subject line, e.g. XRT, ( I'll make up names here,) , so your heading reads ' XRT Vel, Vera, Jo, Jan, Joy, Jay, Jal from Cealy' then simply type what you want to in the message box. Click send. If you scroll down when making your reply you can re read the post you are replying to. But you don't have to change anything if you don't want to. I like to change the subject line because I like to reply specifically to a person, I just feel it is a little more personal, (but only if I remember.) Computer teacher I am not!!! Hope your radiotherapy is better than the computer lesson!!!! Anyway I was wondering if those of you who didn't have any trouble with radiation could tell those of us who are going thru it now what your routine of care was. What products you used and how often you applied them, if you took any vitamins especially for this and what dosage if so and anything else that comes to mind. Thanks to those who reply, I'm really dumb when it comes to e-mail...some ladies answered questions I had before and I wasn't sure of the proper way to thank them, so I'll say it here - Thank you! Have a good one, Cealy __________________________________________________
