Just getting over ON and a flareup on my left (better)side. There's no way I could see to read with it and I sure give those of you who can credit. I basically just laid down (also had a bad bout of vertigo that's not entirely over with) and listen to audiobooks. I ended up with prednisone.

And no answer to my question why if I'm spms, the leg and arm paralysis recovered? When I asked old dr why I'm labelled sp, he said basically because I've had it since 1979 and not exactly in words, that I'm friggin' OLD! Not as old as him tho ;)

Anyway feeling much better but it's definitely winter here and very slippery. I made it for my mammo yesterday but poor was so afraid I was going to slip.

Lots to read to catch up ... hugs, Cait

CaitAh, there's the answer to my question about where you have been. So is the ON feeling better now? And is the vertigo gone as well? What audiobooks did you listen to?I'm SO glad you are back with us all:)hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Cait,

This might have already been addressed, because I'm, as usual,

running behind..

Even though our label is now SPMS, doesn't necessarily mean that

we are going to be "relapse" free.. (and my neurologist kindly

put it in my records that I am secondary progressive with

relapsing tendencies, for insurance purposes I guess, after I

asked him to keep the relapsing part in there somewhere)..

A relapse, in most circles, is considered the worsening of old

symptoms or appearance of new symptoms.. Some of them will be

more noticeable than others.. IE.. we probably won't notice a

little bit of extra numbness in something.. but we sure will

notice the complete loss of feeling in something...

I don't know if they would call my recent (1st) UTI as a

relapse.. but I do know that the UTI could have brought on

another relapse.. most likely would have if I hadn't have headed

for the ER last week. I didn't realize/know it was an UTI until

they ran the test.

We're just not going to notice a relapse with complete remission

(or recovery from the relapse) like we've done in the past..

SPMS is sort of like, pictorially, being on the upside of a

see-saw (teeter-totter), without a firm seat and no handles to

hold onto..

HUGS
