Guest guest
Happy Holidays to everyone - I hope next year will be gentler to you than this year God, grant me the strength of eagles wings, the faith and courage to fly to new heights, and the wisdom to rely on his spirit to carry me there. Guest guest
Merry Christmas, y'all, from San Francisco. I went to the Christmas pageant at my church last evening and then was baking cookies. I have more cookies to bake today. And, then, going to a friend's home for dinner. Hope y'all are doing well.Dan U dao_nguu@...

Guest guest
Hope you all have a good christmas and I'm thinking of those of you who are gone nc for christmas. I contacted my sister and my dad. I deliberately rang early, as my sister will be at nadas for christmas. It was hard there for a while knowing that probably nada might call. Have a good day what ever you do. Steph

Guest guest
And a Merry Christmas hug to you. Let it be a reflective, nurturing time for YOU. My nada has made ME the recipient of no-contact this year. She is not-a answering her phone. I have a choice as to how to interpret this and I am going to choose to see as a blessing. There is sadness, of course. But there is also a sense of power. Would I rather have a peace of mind that I can foster in me, or her misplaced words? Someone in my recovery work once said, she'll ask herself, " Can what I have to say, improve on silence? " as a criteria before speaking. Made me think, I am better off disconnected from nada, with the ability to choose what I say to myself. ~
Guest guest
It was hard. I sit in fear of what will happen next. Nada never called. I'll probably get the slack for not calling. Guest guest
Merry Christmas to all of you, too! This was my first NC Christmas. It was so peaceful. I loved not having to worry about dealing with my parents! Hope your day was good, too! Sveta
Guest guest
Hi Sveta! My NC Christmas was great, the best yet out of 8, going on 9 precious NC years. I need to pinch myself sometimes, remembering that I've really only been an autonomous adult for 8 years. Happy New Year, Sveta! Guest guest
Hi, I'm new to Oz. And I don't know what NC means???? Does it mean NO contact?? And if so, is that absolutely no contact? Or what does it mean??? ________________________________ To: WTOAdultChildren1 Sent: Tuesday, December 27, 2011 10:16 AM Subject: Re: merry Christmas  Hi Sveta! Guest guest
Welcome to the Group, Mellanie, and welcome to all the new members who have started posting recently. Yes, " NC " means " No Contact. " But it can be temporary No Contact or permanent No Contact. There is also the concept of " LC " or " Low Contact " / " Limited Contact. " That's where you choose to maintain contact but under strict boundaries or rules, with consequences for boundary violations. Low Contact takes more effort, but some non-pd adult children feel that they must maintain at least some contact, for various reasons. There is no judgement here about whether choosing to go Low Contact or No Contact with one's pd parent is " right " or " wrong " , (or whether choosing to let things stay the way they are is " right " or " wrong " ); what this Group is about is giving you emotional support as you figure out what works best for YOU, in your individual situation. -Annie > > > > Merry Christmas to all of you, too! > > > > This was my first NC Christmas. Guest guest
This is my 2nd NC christmas with all of my family and it was the best to date. I have been NC with my nada for 6.5 years, but I still keep in contact with her BPD father (my grandfather) and her sister who may or may not be BPD, but shows serious signs of learned reactions at the very least. I did not take phone calls or send cards or even check my emails all weekend. Stress free drama free. > > > > Merry Christmas to all of you, too! > > > > This was my first NC Christmas. Guest guest
Nc does mean no contact. Nc means we don't contact at all. lc means limited contact, which because the my kids, is where I'm at. Steph Re: merry Christmas Hi Sveta!
