what's this about a Port ID card? I have a port, never got an ID - and

have flown several times since havign it place....

Hi Marisa,

It's a Patient Medical Alert Card I got after my port was put in.

It's wallet size and it has info about my port. I guess it's more for

medical purposes than for security, but I take it with me when I travel.

sometimes your port can set off the metal detectors in the airports.......no

kidding......I had a port ID and also my doctor insisted I carry a letter that

stated all the technical ins and outs of what I was taking for chemo, dosing

info ect. which I thought was a great idea.
