For those of you who may have " a nada who lies and a fada who swears to it " (or

vice-versa in the gender department), this wiki article pretty much sums up why

the spouse who stays often becomes so enmeshed with the BPD that their responses

are so very *beyond* co-dependent in nature.

I buy the concept that my dad had dependent pd traits, was emotionally dependent

on nada and put up with a lifetime of verbal/emotional abuse from her. I

wondered for a long, long time why he stayed married under those conditions,

particularly after Sister and I were grown, out of the house and

self-supporting. Thanks for the link.
