Guest guest
Hi everyone,Is there anyone on here who lives in the nyc area who can advise me on good places to live for biomed/autism support in schools etc. I may be going back to my job in manhattan so would be looking to live somewhere in the vicinity (brooklyn, westchester,nj,long island...not sure I can afford manhattan but leaving it an option)....also, does anyone know if ny allows religious exemptions for vaccines? And secondly why so many tests (yasko and oat or nutreval) don't accept residents from ny state (ive seen this written on a few test forms)? If anyone has some advice, please let me know! Many thanks!!-- Sent from my Palm Pre
Guest guest
My advice if I was in your position would be to live in NJ and try to commute (I know that would suck)only because of all the blood test issues with NY and such.Sorry I don't have more info, I don't live up there. I am just saying what I would do. I used to commute 1.5 hours in the DC area so I am familiar with a suck-ass commute :-) Hi everyone,Is there anyone on here who lives in the nyc area who can advise me on good places to live for biomed/autism support in schools etc. I may be going back to my job in manhattan so would be looking to live somewhere in the vicinity (brooklyn, westchester,nj,long island...not sure I can afford manhattan but leaving it an option)....also, does anyone know if ny allows religious exemptions for vaccines? Guest guest
I live on Long Island and have lived in NYC in the past. Parents of ASD children are always leaving the city for LI for schools. It is annoying that NY has strict rules for labs to be allowed to test samples from NY and many labs do not participate due to unreasonable rules an costs, etc. Religious exemptions are easy in most districts here. How old is uour child and what type of classroom setting do they need? I live in a destination district for ASD services, but it is a long commute to manhattan, although people do it. I am happy to talk to you about living on LI. > > Hi everyone, > > Is there anyone on here who lives in the nyc area who can advise me on good places to live for biomed/autism support in schools etc. I may be going back to my job in manhattan so would be looking to live somewhere in the vicinity (brooklyn, westchester,nj,long island...not sure I can afford manhattan but leaving it an option)....also, does anyone know if ny allows religious exemptions for vaccines? Guest guest
I'm pretty sure NY only acknowledges a medical exemption and even those are tough. It might be hard to exempt every single vaccine. -Tammy Sent from my Kindle Fire
Guest guest
I have a practice in Manhattan and live on Long Island. There are great programs on LI and the schools are top notch (both private and public). You can email me and I can get you more info. I work with a friend in NJ that can run all the tests that we can't get done in NY. Good luck Drmike@...
