Guest guest
Sorry! Trigger fingerOLE= reverse transcriptase inhibitor, antioxidant with antifungal/antiviral/antibacterial properties. This being said, I can't tell you why it helps with agression and OCD, but it seems to for many. My child is 11 and 67 lbs. He takes quite a bit. If I had a 41/2 y o I'd buy barleans mint flavored liquid ole complex and start low ( like 1/2 tsp once a day) and move up slowly. You can use those needless syringes to administer.Hope this is helpful,Oh- Whole Foods carries this as does swansons ( mail order)Sent from my iPhone We have a behaviorist, he doesn't have lead... Guest guest
My son was almost kicked out of school at 4 1/2, too. The Feingold diet made an immediate, obvious improvement in aggression. After testing (metals were fine for him), we focused on yeast treatment, zinc, B vitamins (B6 was much better than B12 for him), magnesium, gaba, and several diet changes. It took us almost 2 years to move through many avenues, but I just finished a meeting with his 1st grade teacher who said my son was the most well behaved student in her class. She even commented on his exceptional "sustained attention" (so much for that ADHD diagnosis from 2 years ago)! What a change!!! Biomed is a miracle!Have you done any testing? What is his diet like now? Guest guest
b12 helps with detox pathways....chelation helps with metals...maybe you stopped to soon? i would look into andy cutler chelation....not trying to sway you but if you go back to chelating it is good to see all sides of the argument as far as which way is safest.. i know people get tired of hearing me say this...but you got to have a notebook and write down everything your kid eats poops mood ect....so you can tie what foods cause what reactions... after a year of non stop journaling i got my sons diet down to a science...i know what foods cause reactions and what foods he can digest well... today i thought to move outside the box and gave him an apple that he has been craving and begging me for. an hour later he was a hyperactive maniac...(saliycitate) some foods take longer to see the reactions....there is the cream i added to his smoothie hopin for weight gain that caused him 12 hours later to cry out in pain in his sleep... but you learn these things as you journal...also getting a food intolerance test would be good to rule out the big food allergies....but wouldnt do anything to help you with oxylate issues or salicyalte issues....those you learn by observation also what does he crave? yeast craves carbs /sweets and bacteria craves meat...in my observation anyways.. channa To: mb12valtrex Sent: Monday, February 13, 2012 1:51 PMSubject: Re: hyperactive and aggressive Channa,Last year he was doing so good in school and things were looking up. Guest guest
GABA and HTP 2x a day made him more aggressive if u can imagine that! His Diet consists of few foods which I will list:Trader joes yeast free wafflesUdi's bread (which I limit and try to emilinate)Glutino pretzelsAlmond MilkRiceGreen BeansPotatoesApple juice (diluted and given rarely)Applegate organic hot dogsSometimes he will eat chicken or steak but its a hit or missGrapesApples (eliminated bc I noticed he started becoming obsessed and aggressive but he did eat them)BananasThat's all I can think of.. We hadn't tried B6 with him. He takes probiotics every night. I need to add back the fish oil from before. DMG did nothing for him. Guest guest
I am not sure if u r working with a dan or not but maybe run an Oat test if u dont have a recent one. Also check for serum zinc and copper and then start supplementing zinc. You may not see a difference rightaway but continue using it and then chose the dose based on levels. Aggression can point towards bacterial overgrowth in the gut or phenol sensitivity snd I agree with Toni regarding feingold diet. I am also dealing w some aggression and I am lesrning about feingold. Pain can lead to aggression also. Good luck. is > > > ** > > > > > > ** I didn't see any improvements when we added zinc so I removed it.. Guest guest
We are on stage 2 so my son eats more than a stage 1 kid would. My daughter can tolerate less, she seems more sensitive to sals / phenols than my son (she is the ASD kid, he has multiple issues,ASD dx that I don't really believe all the time) They are both on low oxalate diet (which inadvertently helps with phenols because oxalate uses/binds/disables(??) the PST -phenolsulfurtransferase-enzymeso eating low oxalate helps leave more PST enzyme available for phenols and sals. Basically we've worked it out with portion control and timing. Also my daughteris now home schooled and so having her being extra bouncy is " ok. " Breakfast for my son was bread with manuka honey (honey is a salicylate, some are sensitive) and some slices of natural bacon and another slice of bread with egg salad on it.Not sure what my daughter ate b/c she was here with her dad while I drove my son to school LOLShe does ok on the manuka raw honey but store-bought so-called " honey " she goes spazzy on with irrational crying. The bread is GF udi's. The mayo is spectrum natural canola oil mayo(hellmann's reg and mir whip reg are on the stage 1 diet but they have soy and HFCSso I avoid) and the bacon was 's natural... which is preserved with cherry juice and therefore would be off the stage 1 diet (you cut out things for 3-6 weeks to see if improvement, then add back in one at a time like you would with a baby who was startingsolids)Lunch was McD which is not FG approved (the fry oil has BHT in it) and of course gluten sediment from other fried crap; burgers without buns, ketchup and pickle are not FG st 1, soda has HFCS which is not restricted on FGand I allow occasionally despite not allowing it in the mayo lol dinner is ground beef (grass fed) with organic tomato sauce (also not stage 1)The materials you order will include access to their web forums and recipes for alternative sauces for ketchup, sauce since tomatoes are stage 2. To be honest if we were still strict on the diet (stage 1) my daughter may notbe having as many sound sensitivity issues. :-\ It's hard to find a balance betweenthese two worlds of diet restriction and feeling part of the society... need to move to a society where we all eat weird, far away from McD. LOL Ok so what kind of meals does your son eat on the Feingold diet? I'm gonna order the packet. Just wondering how u deal with a picky eater and eliminating more foods.ThxCassieSent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry® --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Click to find info about Vitamins and Minerals:http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10150543521682565 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Click to find links to info about the Low Oxalate Diet :http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10150543495292565 ------Toni------Mind like a steel trap...Rusty and illegal in 37 states. Guest guest
For us, that's usually gut stuff...mostly clostridia when there's aggression involved.

Guest guest
Although every kid is different, my son would go crazy after eating apples of any kind, grapes or bananas. In fact, the only times he has hit since starting Feingold almost 2 years ago were the 3 times I have tried to reintroduce bananas. Go figure! Very careful journaling (like Channa suggested) was a huge help to tease out all of these details. We did well with lots of soups (chicken, lentil, bean, veggie, pea), breakfasts of eggs and bacon or sausage, sun butter on anything, coconut products....Anything that used to be apples became pears without a problem. I make a lot of homemade pear sauce and use it for baking, cooking and snacking. We got pear juice from http://www.gogojuice.com/ and used it for popsicles in the summer but drink only water to keep yeast away. Feingold was such a major part of our progress but my son's mood really leveled out and stayed that way once the B6, magnesium and gaba were on board.Good luck. I know that limiting more foods is so challenging but perhaps your son will accept some substitutes if this is the route you take. I think noticing that apples were a problem is probably a sign that Feingold might help.Kim GABA and HTP 2x a day made him more aggressive if u can imagine that! Kim those symptoms can be caused by so many things...mercury poisoning..food allergies/intolerances...pathogens.... to find the cause you have to go down the list that is what i do...for my son andy cutler chelation...made a huge diffrence in his aggression...then came diet changes....pathogen control channa To: mb12valtrex Sent: Monday, February 13, 2012 11:22 AMSubject: hyperactive and aggressive Hi everyone,I could use some help. My son is extremely hyperactive and aggressive at school and also at home but not as bad as school. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have a feeling he might be kicked out of school soon. Guest guest
We have had a hard time adding in higher phenol/salicylate foods. Toni mentioned the low oxalate diet helping and another post recently suggested treating parasites might help. Anyone else have these experiences or other thoughts? My son's behavior is great right now but his food choices are pretty limited. I'd hate to limit further or start another intervention without a good reason...Thanks everyone,Kim On Feb 13, 2012, at 5:05 PM, Toni Marie Lombardo wrote: We are on stage 2 so my son eats more than a stage 1 kid would.
