Guest guest
I have one or two in Dad's generation who are still here - they get a dispensation to call me Lavinia Anne it tickled me at the last funeral - I am not a blond Twiggy anymore My Uncle Charlie is being taken care of at home - nothing like going to a family funeral and coming home felling like I spent the day at Willow Park! my oldest cousin and his wife had put the parents in the car and drive almost 2 hours to get to the funeral my cousins had clued me in - so I trotted down the sidewalk to help get them in - Benny and Carol's husband got on either side and walked him up the sidewalk - I reached under his coat tail and grabbed his belt - SOP for assistance We got into the front room and the guys got him in a chair - he looks at me and says "Lavinia Anne wheres Homer" before I could say anything my other aunt informs him "You know better than that Charlie - Homer died years ago". Then he decided he had to go to the bathroom and that wasn't in my job description. That was the funeral the cousins got the mouthy aunt into family history and did we get an earful - seems that there was more marrying and divorcing and "fun" then they had dinged into us when we were kids" it was enlightening to say the least God, grant me the strength of eagles wings, the faith and courage to fly to new heights, and the wisdom to rely on his spirit to carry me there.
