Guest guest
I would also like to buy the book you have! I have enjoyed some of the recipes very much. My boyfriend gets a real kick out of the papaya/pineapple mask...it's pretty messy! On another note... This Sunday I went to the park to read the paper and take in some sun. I lathered up with coconut oil (cheap stuff from an Indian market) and sat out for about three hours. Mind you, I haven't had any sun in months and I am pale...Irish pale. Results: my boyfriend noticed a sunburn on my upper back that night. It wasn't bad at all and I didn't feel it. I just put some aloe vera on it and now I have a lovely tan. This is highly unusual for me as I expected to turn beet red and peel. So I recommend the coconut oil. It isn't a sunblock, but it does seem to lessen the impact of the sun. I've also heard that sesame oil prevents burning...I'll try that next. Awesome After Sun Remedy: In a spray bottle put 1/2 c. of aloe gel, 1/2 c. water, 5 drops of pure lavender essential oil (not synthetic). Spray it on after sun exposure, after your shower, or anytime! This stuff is great.
Guest guest
Glad you found some things to help you deal with the sun. I posted the author of the book. Hope you enjoy it. For those who will not be buying the book but like the recipies I may start posting them later in the season. Or just a few a week. Thanks Everyone, Kareemah
