Guest guest
Nope, not us. My hub said it was out in Long Island, which is a bit of a distance from us. Did you hear how large it was? Years ago, I recall one. Woke me out of sleep. Thought it was a huge truck passing by. It was kinda scary for these here parts!love you,KateTo: Group <mserslife >Sent: Tue, November 30, 2010 11:06:08 PMSubject: Earthquake in NY? Kate?? Guest guest
Kate, If you're speaking of the earthquake, years ago, that I'm thinking of.. that was the one where we were supposed to have felt the after shocks.. way down here in the bottom left corner of PA.. I remember hearing we had/were having them.. don't remember feeling them though.. HUGS |)onna Nope, not us. My hub said it was out in Long Island, which is a bit of a distance from us. Guest guest
Yup, I definitely recall the sensation of my bed moving. I'm trying to recall how large it was, probably only a 5 or 6, but still...for NY...Now today, we are getting socked and soaked. The wind is just whipping. Really reminds me of a tornado...I have an interesting story. Waaayy back in 1976, to celebrate the bicentennial, my Girl Scout troup went to North Dakota. While there, we drove conastoga wagons across the prairie. It was terribly exciting. We had men driving the wagons, and some of us rode in the wagons, some walked, or some rode horses alongside. One day a tornado came up, and basically, there was no place to go, except a huge storm ditch that had been dug. You could see the funnel coming and it was just wild! I'll never forget that day. The horses that weren't well tethered, just took off, and it took some time before they rallied them back to our campsite. Just a bit of 'history', both about me, and the history books.love you all,KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Wed, December 1, 2010 10:24:41 AMSubject: Re: Earthquake in NY? Kate??
