Guest guest
Stahl in Slate is pretty much head on about the ties between Duck and Swedish Christmas. I'd just make one addition/correction: Not all families eat the Christmas Smorgåsbord before Duck (or Kalle, as we know him), neither mine nor 's families do, for instance. Some, like our families, eat after (post-Kalle, so to speak...). In fact, i'd think most families are post-Kalle eaters, but I don't know of any numbers. What you don't do, under any circumstance, is eat DURING Duck. Absolutely not. Stahl got that right too...http://www.slate.com/id/2239252/pagenum/all/#p2love/Reb – proudly bizarr (seriously, he is right, it is bizarre, but we love it)
