Guest guest
Hi, my name is Lynn, and I am new to this group. I have a question for any one that has had breast cancer, and had their breast removed, including the muscle. I have been experiencing sharp pain, almost like a hot poker, in this area. The may area I am talking about is the extra flab of skin that is left for future breast reconstruction. Has anyone experienced any thing like this? Thank you Lynn
Guest guest
Welcome to the group Lynn. I didn't experience any type of pain. I would call your surgeon and ask if this is normal. I will keep you in my prayers. Guest guest
Lynn, I know what your talking about, that sharp pain under your arm, yes I had it too, the good news is it does go away after some time, I had my mastectomy 10-12-06 and I had that same pain your talking about. It felt to me like where my muscle was cut off and when I would do something like lift too much ,the muscle would work to a point and then the pain, oh, it was awful. But hang in there it will get better, but wouldn't hurt to call your doctor just in case yours might be something different.I will pray for your full and speedy recovery. & nne Svihlik moochie1@...> wrote: Welcome to the group Lynn. Guest guest
I was also told that many nerves get 'punished.' Not sure if that means cut or just tweaked, but the nerves are mending as well and can cause some sharp pain. Barb Pain under the arm Hi, my name is Lynn, and I am new to this group.
