Blake (Wiggy) Wiggins 21, was killed last night in a motorcycle accident. Blake

has been working as an EMT for Stat Care EMS here in the Beaumont/Port Arthur

area for the last year and just recently turned 21.

Wiggy is well known as being always in a great mood and his smile and laugh

would easily infect the whole room. He will be missed.

God Speed little brother

For what its worth

Terrell EMT-P CC...,...,...,.,....( all the other things that still mean

I am a paramedic)

Terrell, the EMS family will be very saddened when they read your post - to lose

another one so young who would have been one of the bright parts of our Texas

EMS future. Please let his family and friends know that many of us in the EMS

family will be keeping them in our thoughts and prayers.

I am always saddened to hear of the death of one of our own, but it is

especially heart breaking when the medic is someone I knew personally. I have

known Wigy's fatherfor at least 20 some odd years and I rode with Blake during

my clinicals while in my Basic class. My thoughts and prayers go out to

Constable Charlie Wiggins and his family in this time of sorrow.

Do you want to talk to the Paramedic in charge or the EMT who knows what & #39;s

going on?

I wrote this hoping the day would be long in coming when I would feel the need

to post it. Unfortunately that day is upon us. Here is a Medic's Lament:

Â

There is a voice from Heaven crying

Saying " Medic come home.

Your mission on Earth is over.

Your long journey is done. "

Â

My Savior, Christ, has met me

With His arms held open wide.

" Well done My faithful servant.

Welcome to Paradise. "

Â

" Here are the people

Whose lives you helped save.

They are here to thank you

For the efforts that you gave. "

Â

There is a voice from Heaven crying

Saying " Medic come home.

Your mission on Earth is over.

Your long journey is done. "

Â

" The calls that you answered

Were sometimes intense.

And you have seen things in life

That did not always make sense. "

Â

" Still, you gave your all every day

And did what you could on every scene.

Using all of the skills you aquired

And decided what the signs might mean. "

Â

There is a voice from Heaven crying

Saying " Medic come home.

Your mission on Earth is over.

Your long journey is done. "

Â

Blake you will be missed by all of us.

this is incredible I, as I am sure all of us do, wish that this would

never have to be said BUT as we all have become painfully aware lately it does.

I do hope we all are learning from some very hard lessonsthat no matter how

old or young we are we are not 10 ft tall and bullet proof.

If possible and with your permission I would like to pass this on
