Guest guest
I know I can't speak for her, but I'm FB friends with her and she's definitely been busy with grad applications, the GRE, and the like. I should tell her to stop by here and say hi > I've been wondering the same thing - I hope all is well ! > Sunspot > > On Thu, Dec 29, 2011 at 12:38 AM, echobabe_is_free > wrote: > > > ** > > > > > > But where is our Girlscout? Guest guest
I got your Girlscout for ya RIGHT HERE!!!! I'm baaaaaaack Ok, so the GRE is behind me. I survived the holidays. I still have three applications to submit. And I have this feeling of just being lost this week. I kind of feel like a deadbeat - setting my own schedule, living (in small part) on the gov't dole etc etc. I've applied for a lot of jobs, too, and my god they pay total shit!!! I have even tried to negotiate for me to take the job but work fewer hours, considering that I have enough experience that I work very quickly. No go, not at all. Employers have this thing about controling as much of your time as they can. This week I'm working on getting my own biz up and running. This economy is a joke, at least for my kind. The working kind. . . How is everyone? Guest guest
Good to hear from you! Late December and early January are always my slowest times, work-wise, so I can relate. I'm betting that things will pick up for you toward the middle of January. Glad you're getting stuff done in order for your graduate school studies to begin, that's awesome! May we all have a joyful and prosperous New Year! -Annie > > > > > > > ** > > > > > > > > > > > > But where is our Girlscout? Haven't seen her for a few weeks and hope > > all > > > > is well! Guest guest
Go GS go! Hope the GRE went well for you. I can't imagine it being easy. Good luck to you, and don't beat yourself up for getting " hand outs " right now. It took me a loooong time, over a year, to finally apply for disability once my doctor kept telling me she felt it was necessary. I was always told/trained that you did NOT ask for help and did NOT " put your hand out " for government assistance, etc. Pffft! Well, I have to say now that I've been down that path, I'm glad I eventually listened to my doctor & did it. I'm much happier & healthier for it and it's just one more thing I think of in regards to nada & that she wasn't always right (as she would have me believe). And, I'm no longer considered disabled... in other words, I'VE HEALED. Still have healing to do, that's for sure, but wow... never thought I'd be out of that black hole of doom, you know? Anyway, I have no idea what kind of assistance you're getting, but take it. Keep looking for work and building your own business, you CAN do it! You're a smart cookie =) Mia
