Guest guest
Hi folks, haven't been on this list much in years, but recently noticed the parasite conversations. Huge issue for my son and I! Has anyone had success killing off the " taxonomy unknown " parasite? This has shown up on our Metametrix stool tests for the last year, and no parasite med we've used so far (to kill off other parasites) has touched it. Humaworm didn't work either. Does anyone have a good parasite specialist? Thank you!
Guest guest
What meds have you tried. Ivermectin? Alinia? Albenza? > > Hi folks, haven't been on this list much in years, but recently noticed the parasite conversations. Huge issue for my son and I! Guest guest
All of those. Also Flagyl, Vermox, and Iodoquinol. > > > > Hi folks, haven't been on this list much in years, but recently noticed the parasite conversations. Huge issue for my son and I! Guest guest
You might want to look into combination therapy. I know some drs wil rx albenza and ivermectin together for stubborn infections. Bacterium is a frequently used antibiotic to be used synergistically with the protocol. http://www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=1642898 > > > > > > Hi folks, haven't been on this list much in years, but recently noticed the parasite conversations. Guest guest
Wow Caryn, that is quite the protocol! I'm afraid no doctor we currently see is likely to Rx anything approaching that intensity unless we can prove that my son has parasites. We do have a local holistic doc that may be willing to try albenza + ivermectin, if we muscle-test positive for the combo, so I might give that a try. Thank you! > > > > > > > > Hi folks, haven't been on this list much in years, but recently noticed the parasite conversations. Huge issue for my son and I! Guest guest
We had parasite of 'unknown taxonomy' show up twice on Mia's Metamatrix tests also- this was before our parasite push. We were not planning to retest, but your post makes me think it would be worthwhile just as a guage. The main parasite we are still consistently seeing in stool samples is Ascaris (microscopic), and I am working now to research it more closely. There is an herb recommended for it specifically in old literature, wormseed, but I don't know enough yet and we haven't tried it. Interestingly, though, it is not in Humaworm. The ascaris is the one that completes its life cycle using its host's lungs. It is associated with asthma (turning to eczema in young adults/adults), and also seizures (in dogs- where there is much more literature than ascaris in humans). Our experience is that it brings peaks of intolerance/impatience/sensory seeking behaviors (with crying or screaming meltdowns and earlier in our history absence seizures following peaks of intense tactile sensitivity) during egg laying/hatching times. So if your child has a strong history with these things, maybe finding the drug/drug combo or herb/herb combo suggested for ascaris specifically could be a good avenue to try. My apologies, I don't have the exact name of the type of ascaris- our tests as I said were 'taxonomy unknown'. And I of course can't be sure this is even the 'unknown' parasite! > > > > > > > > > > Hi folks, haven't been on this list much in years, but recently noticed the parasite conversations. Guest guest
please keep us posted if you do decide to do a retest! We've been able to successfully kill all the other parasites that have shown up in stool tests over the years, by using the Rx drug specific to that parasite. But " taxonomy unknown " parasite remains, and so do the symptoms that started at the same time as it started showing up on our Metametrix results. I haven't ventured into the world of self-analysis of stool samples via microscope yet, LOL, but I may be almost desperate enough to give it a try! In our case I'm guessing it's not Ascaris though. A. lumbricoides is likely to show up correctly on a stool test, but even if it is missed, the common parasite meds (Albendazole or Mebendazole) are usually quite effective. These are meds that my son and I have been on repeatedly. Unless there's some other Ascaris (like a pig one?) that Metametrix wouldn't check for but has somehow taken up human residence?? Interesting about those symptoms! My son doesn't have much in the way of sensory issues anymore. But he has always been very volatile, and tantrums a lot. > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi folks, haven't been on this list much in years, but recently noticed the parasite conversations.
