I am struggling. My son has been displaying yeasty behaviors as well as dumping

a lot of yeast lately. I got lazy on the Lamisil. However, we did low ox diet

for a while and he did great during that time. My problem is that I really want

our family to eat more vegetarian because I feel it is healthier. But that means

beans, tomatos, potatoes, lentils....all the high-ox foods. I have no idea what

do do. Advice anyone??? Thanks.

Why do you feel vegetarian is healthier? I don't want to change your mind if you feelfor ethical reasons you don't want to eat animals but if you do some research, you may find that meat is healthier. beans/lentils, tomatoes and potatoes all have

lectins. Some people really have a hard time digesting these. We still eat these on low oxalate diet but I do some damage control. For instance, I open the can of beans and I boil the crud out of them then rinse them, then add them

to my chili. (Or soak overnight and boil like crazy)My girl doesn't care for meat much, need to work on that, but she will drink protein shakes.Anyway, if you check out Mark's Daily Apple or Dr. Kruse's website, http://jackkruse.com/

you may feel differently about meat. BTW Dr. Kruse talks about Leptin,it is different than lectin! LOL (Confusing sorry!)I am doing the Dr. Kruse Leptin reset and feel great except I have realized my stomach acid

is low and I need to eat more enzymes with my meat.

I was vegetarian with my son for a while. I believe in bein vegan for personal ethical reasons. with that said..because of my sons growth issues and limited diet I do include meat, however I also include a lot of vegan/vegetarian meals as he does well on those also.. I soak beans overnight and we eat lentil soups white bean and bone broth soups...he is crazy over canned pink beans in his salad. (my one can food I allow)

mostly i buy dried beans soak them and use them as meat replacment or to add...

I am not so very knowlegeable about the low oxylate beans but if you join the low oxylate group you would get a lot of info over there.

i think chick peas are medium...lima beans low...also with beans it is dense food so you dont need to eat a whole bunch! i try and give my son mostly veggies with smaller amount of beans/ animal protien at every meal....also i give him raw whey protien in a smoothie i make for breakfast....

I think its a matter of trying and seeing how your son does ...what is good for one kid is vice versa for another...channa

I guess partly I want to do less meat because it's cheaper, easier on the liver

and because I can't afford organic/grass fed beef. People who eat a lot of meat

are more prone to gallstones, which will impair overall liver function and we

ALL have kids here who have impaired liver function. I just did 3 liver flushes

MYSELF and passed hundreds of gallstones each time and the daily pain I had is

completely gone.

There are high levels of Arsenic in chicken (something my son is dumping a lot

of through chelation) and now Monsanto just came out with a new chemical

sweetener called NEOTAME (worse than aspartame) and they plan to replace the

molasses in the cattle feed with this poison. I can't feed my kids these things

with integrity when I know these things. Hubby is unemployed right now, so money

is a big deal.

That makes complete sense. Grass fed is pricey. We are getting our grass fed ground beef online by using restaurant.com to buy gift cert from Lacenseand then I joined their mailing list and they are always having specials. I think it's about 7$/lb for ground beef

which is a lot but we do not use a lb at a meal. If you are ok with using that with your beans, then you can getby with a cheaper dish. There's another place online call wellness foods I thinkOh here it is http://www.grasslandbeef.com/StoreFront.bok

Chick peas are medium, I boiled those from the can the other day as well, they went in the chili.Black beans are high.Black eyed peas can be used to make veggie burgers, flour and in recipesto keep the protein up and the oxalate down.

I think the reason gall stones form is inadequate digestion of the foods, not the foods themselves. It is more involved with fat digestion than protein, I believe. The thing that brought on my gall stone attacks were high fat and oxalate intake

(nuts and clementines were my nightly snack, putting me into gall bladder attack mode!)I was not a meat eater back then at all. The oxalate is only a " guess " because so many of the people over on LOD list had gall bladder issues before

they found LOD.We try not to eat a lot of chicken anymore because of the arsenic but I do allow Ian's GF nuggets:-\Good luck, I saw your post over on LOD list and I know there are two vegans on the list.

I think the vegans had to start using eggs.

Toni Marie--I read this great book called " The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder

Flush " by s Moritz. Everything he said in this book makes so much sense.

It's actually a LOW FAT diet (among many other things)that will cause us to have

gallstones because our livers only release as much bile as needed for the fat

that needs digested. If we are avoiding fats, the liver NEVER COMPLETELY empties

itself at meals and the remaining bile at each meal can begin to form stones.

Toxins are fat soluble and can then remain trapped in the liver with stones. A

clogged liver is the cause of poor digestion....after this...the body actually

begins to " starve " of fat and goes into compensation mode and pulls fat from

other parts of the body...like the brain (60% fat) and the mylean sheath on the

nerves.....he explains about eating animal flesh and how this contributes/is

affected also. I did the flush and it worked immediately.

yes understand the worry of meat products i also order meat from broken arrow ranch i buy their wild boar and venison and make bone broths it is way to expensive to sit down to a rack of ribs when i can stick it in a pot and make it last five times as long ...

cant wait to get my house in the country and grow all my own food:)

wow, that is great info!...you can be this weeks smarty pants :)

I know when i give my son the coffee enemas he is so much calmer digestion works better ect..and the reason is mainly i think cuz it stimulates the bile flow..as well as other things like gluthatione production...but i just mentally hate to do it.

said Coffee Enemas increase Glutathione production by 700% in the following 24

Figures... I ate low fat my whole life, was eating the high fat diet when I was breastfeedingand that is when I started the attacks. So I guess they formed and were sitting there happily formedwhen I decided to emit them with fat and citrus LOL

Either way, I guess I better work on getting fats in my daughter b/c she eats low fat. She's only7 but that's the foods she likes (veggies, salad and fruits) and she hates meat.Good luck with the beans. No one in my house is particularly fond of them

so I don't bother other than with the chili.I didn't do the flush after the attacks b/c the flushing was what was causing the pain iow what theliver/gb flush suggested was drink oil and citrus to purge the gall bladder. That purging is what started

the symptoms. Doh.

so maybe the oxylates block the bile release in the gall bladder? and when you increased the fats with along side the oxylates the oxylates didnt allow the fat to release the bile?

how about a nice relaxing coffee enema? :)

im gonna get a shirt that says: have you had your coffee enema today?

how bout road rage? we could scream at each other: go get a (bleep) coffee enema! you act like your full of oxylates and bile (bleep)hole!

im gonna go be like Arthur in Kings and queens....you all need a cofee enema, damit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ahahahah see how easily i am amused?

Toni---I am so sorry to hear that doing a flush caused pain. This flush requires

you to drink 32 oz of apple juice a day for 6 days prior to flushing with oil

and citris. The malic acid in the apples softens the gall stones. I passed large

grape sized stones without ANY pain whatsoever!!

I am struggling. My son has been displaying yeasty behaviors as well as dumping a lot of yeast lately. I got lazy on the Lamisil. However, we did low ox diet for a while and he did great during that time. My problem is that I really want our family to eat more vegetarian because I feel it is healthier. But that means beans, tomatos, potatoes, lentils....all the high-ox foods. I have no idea what do do.

Advice anyone??? Thanks.

I think taurine is needed for bile. I know oxalate jacks up the PST pathway, and taurine is a sulfur-containing entity... so it seems really possible that oxalate is jacking the whole thing up.I already pretty much have the mantra around here " stupid oxalates " whenever anyone is off.

I am sure other people have " stupid parasites " and " stupid candida. " ;-)

so maybe the oxylates block the bile release in the gall bladder? and when you increased the fats with along side the oxylates the oxylates didnt allow the fat to release the bile?

how about a nice relaxing coffee enema?  :)

im gonna get a shirt that says: have you had your coffee enema today?

how bout road rage? we could scream at each other:  go get a (bleep) coffee enema! you act like your full of oxylates and bile (bleep)hole!

im gonna go  be like Arthur in  Kings and queens....you all need a cofee enema, damit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ahahahah  see how easily i am amused?

Doh.

Toni Marie--I read this great book called " The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush " by s Moritz. Everything he said in this book makes so much sense. It's actually a LOW FAT diet (among many other things)that will cause us to have gallstones because our livers only release as much bile as needed for the fat that needs digested. If we are avoiding fats, the liver NEVER COMPLETELY empties itself at meals and the remaining bile at each meal can begin to form stones. Toxins are fat soluble and can then remain trapped in the liver with stones. A clogged liver is the cause of poor digestion....after this...the body actually begins to " starve " of fat and goes into compensation mode and pulls fat from other parts of the body...like the brain (60% fat) and the mylean sheath on the nerves.....he explains about eating animal flesh and how this contributes/is affected also. I did the flush and it worked immediately.

Oh no, what I was saying is it seems I was flushing myself strictly by accident when I was eating gobs offat + citrus as my craving/snack. It was probably my body wanting to get rid of the stones that it knew was there

and creating the craving. So after I started having the attacks I wanted to be natural and try to do away with them on my own.I did drink the unfiltered apple juice routinely at that point (that, and epsom salt orally would stop an

attack dead in its tracks) but I never got up the courage to induce a " flush " on my own because theattacks were so horribly painful. It's all good, GB is gone and I likely needed enzymes all my life anyway.

Grace - pressure cooking the beans may not remove the oxalates because the water is not discarded, but absorbed, correct? Normal healthy human guts can handle oxalate but since people nowadays give antibiotics and kill off the guys that love to eat oxalate, that leaves us with bad bacteria (those jackasses wouldn't be

nearly as bad if they'd eat some oxalate, and not just sugar LOL) We have a leaky gut family, plusreason to believe just poor digestion all around...

Toni---I am so sorry to hear that doing a flush caused pain. This flush requires you to drink 32 oz of apple juice a day for 6 days prior to flushing with oil and citris. The malic acid in the apples softens the gall stones. I passed large grape sized stones without ANY pain whatsoever!!
