I just found that link tonight and immediately searched here to see if this was

already a topic. OMG, this letter hit SO close to home for me, it almost made me

feel sick.

It reminds me why I have to stay NC

Yes, that very succinct and accurate list of " The Characteristics of

Narcissistic Mothers " by " author unknown " has been posted here before, and its

always welcome. I'd posted it before using the link, " the harpy's child " .

Others have posted it from time to time as well.

In my own case, my recently deceased nada had a lot of narcissistic pd traits

(its part of being a " Queen " bpd, to have bpd plus narcissistic traits) so I too

found that a lot of the traits mentioned in the article hit very close to home.

I somehow missed the original post of this thread & can't seem to find

it on the yahoo site either.

For the poster who said they had a wonderful experience speaking to

their nada's therapist on the phone & in person, that's awesome!

Sounds like you got some serious validation!

I am interested in this post though because I've almost half expected

my nada to go to a therapist purely with the intent to make me look

like the bad guy, you know? Kind of interesting to see how you all

have responded.

Wishing the original poster LOTS of luck too!
