Guest guest
Okay, so how is everyone spending the 4th of July? Here in our community the 4th is actually on the 3rd. lol Since the 4th is a Sunday the celebration is moved to Saturday. The same thing happens if Halloween falls on a Sunday. There is a big fireworks display in my town after the rodeo. A parade in the morning, a craft festival, BBQ, rodeo, fireworks and then a dance. I don't go anymore. I prefer to stay home with the dogs:) But my kids, their spouses and my 8 grandkids all go together, sit on the grass at the park and watch the fireworks. On Sunday we will have a cookout--brats on the grill with potato salad and watermelon for desert. After my kids/grandkids leave on Saturday I plan to call my brother in Alaska and have a nice long phone visit. It's always so noisy here that I relish some quiet time for phone calls:) My brother lives just 10 miles from our old cabin in Alaska so we always have a lot to talk about. He lives off-grid like I do so we have that in common as well. He is 11 years older than I am and just turned 70 in June. He lives out in the woods (like we did there), fishes a lot, watches for grizzlies and moose in the garden (like we did) and keeps chickens and goats. It's funny that this brother and I are so alike. We have a brother between us who is totally different. The brother who is different hasn't spoken to me in about 5 years. Oh well... life goes on:)hugs to each and every one one you! Enjoy the 4th no matter where you live--US or not. SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
We aren't doing anything. We usually just stay home. Haven't gone to watch fireworks for many years. At least 20 yrs or so. The next town over might have some fireworks but its a small town, smaller than ours so nothing too spectacular. Its very quiet around this area. Guest guest
It sounds like here, nne. Our 'town' is 20 miles away. We are out in the country here. It's so quiet out here and I love that. We hardly ever even have cars drive down the road-- maybe twice a week. It's so odd to see cars that the grandkids run to look out the window. We are such hicks! lolSharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
