Austin County Emergency Medical Services is a division of county government

of Austin County, Texas and is the sole 911 EMS provider for 657 square

miles of Austin County, which includes the incorporated cities of Bellville,

Sealy, Wallis, Industry, San Felipe, Brazos Country, and the communities of Cat

Springs, Blieblerville, and New Ulm. Austin County is bordered by Washington

County to the North, Waller County to the east, Colorado County to the West,

Fayette County to the Northwest, and Ft. Bend County to the South.

Located only 20 minutes from the Katy area, Austin County is easily

accessible by I-10 west

Staffing Levels: 5 frontline BLS-MICU units - (Frazer fleet), 2 of which are

24 hour trucks, and (2)-10 hr Peak Trucks, 2 Community Based responder EMS

units, and 1 Paramedic Supervisor. Progressive off-line Patient Care

Guidelines.

Requirements:

Clean Driving record, Certification & <WBR>/or Licensure in good standing

with

Paramedics: Current ACLS, PALS, BTLS, CPR certifications are preferred

EMT-B or EMT-I: Current BTLS, CPR certifications are preferred

Hiring Process:

Written and Practical exam, Panel Interview, Background investigation, Drug

screen.
