Guest guest
Hi everyone, Thanks to all of you who have been helping me esp since this am. I just received oat result and that shows yeast markers which are very high and no bacterial overgrowth. So now we can start antifungals. Cannot be in touch with dan till monday. I can write a prescription of fluconazole myself but many of you have been writing that you have been doing rounds of diflucan/valtrex together. Not sure what our dan prefers and we havn't received cdsa results yet. I am thinking that maybe I should start candex and other herbal stuff rightaway till I speak with the dan and we will be receiving cdsa results next week also. I think I am just too tired of waiting. This is the second oat we did with GPL as first one with metamatrix was completely normal. All experienced moms, please suggest what is the best approach for now. Thanks is
Guest guest
before you go down the diflucan/fluconazole route, i would suggest sending your OAT results to a wonderful woman called susan costen owens who heads up research for a low oxalate project for the ARI. you can get in touch with her through her website lowoxalate.info. she will be able to look at your OAT results and tell you if your child also has a high oxalate issue. she is extremely helpful and responsive so you won't have to wait long for answers. if so, it might be more beneficial for your child to start a low oxalate diet and supplementation of b6, p5p, magnesium and biotin. i say all this because i had my kid on diflucan for a month and then ketoconazole for another two weeks and her symptoms just seemed to be getting worse and worse. in desperation one night i reached out to a number of forums including 's and she said that my child might not be able to handle the detox with meds and in fact may be exacerbating an oxalate issue that has yeast like symptoms. i have since moved over to her recommendations and am slowly waiting to see the changes. last night for the first time in a very long time my daughter had a proper night of sleep and her belly is starting to be less bloated. i am also going to test a parasite cleanse by a company called humaworm. some people with autistic kids are reporting some very interesting finds. this is particularly relevant to me because i just treated my kid for threadworms and i have a feeling there is more going on there. anyway, just some food for thought.....take careTo: mb12valtrex Sent: Friday, September 9, 2011 8:58 PMSubject: Just received OAT results finally!
