Guest guest
Hi , did look at his first oat result and I am sending her the second one also. The first one was from metamatrix so we repeated with GPL and hopefully she will be able to interpret it better. I did join the low oxalate diet group but havn't really been on that group. How did you start the low oxalate diet? My son needs some kind of milk in the morning and he came back allergic to coconut. He gets almond milk, mostly on rotation but almonds are high in oxalates. I was wondering if goat yogurt was allowed on low oxalate diet as my son would love that and will get some nutrition also. If I could figure out the milk issue, I think low oxalate diet will be much easier. Thanks for your response. is > > > >  > before you go down the diflucan/fluconazole route, i would suggest sending your OAT results to a wonderful woman called susan costen owens who heads up research for a low oxalate project for the ARI. you can get in touch with her through her website lowoxalate.info. she will be able to look at your OAT results and tell you if your child also has a high oxalate issue. she is extremely helpful and responsive so you won't have to wait long for answers. if so, it might be more beneficial for your child to start a low oxalate diet and supplementation of b6, p5p, magnesium and biotin. i say all this because i had my kid on diflucan for a month and then ketoconazole for another two weeks and her symptoms just seemed to be getting worse and worse. in desperation one night i reached out to a number of forums including 's and she said that my child might not be able to handle the detox with meds and in fact may be exacerbating an oxalate issue that has > yeast like symptoms. i have since moved over to her recommendations and am slowly waiting to see the changes. last night for the first time in a very long time my daughter had a proper night of sleep and her belly is starting to be less bloated. i am also going to test a parasite cleanse by a company called humaworm. some people with autistic kids are reporting some very interesting finds. this is particularly relevant to me because i just treated my kid for threadworms and i have a feeling there is more going on there. anyway, just some food for thought..... > take care > > > > ________________________________ > > To: mb12valtrex > Sent: Friday, September 9, 2011 8:58 PM > Subject: Just received OAT results finally! I just received oat result and that shows yeast markers which are very high and no bacterial overgrowth. So now we can start antifungals. Cannot be in touch with dan till monday. I can write a prescription of fluconazole myself but many of you have been writing that you have been doing rounds of diflucan/valtrex together. Not sure what our dan prefers and we havn't received cdsa results yet. I am thinking that maybe I should start candex and other herbal stuff rightaway till I speak with the dan and we will be receiving cdsa results next week also. I think I am just too tired of waiting. This is the second oat we did with GPL as first one with metamatrix was completely normal. Guest guest
is...I'm evesdropping My son is also (very!)allergic to coconut, and he has also become allergic to almond, cashew, soy, and cow's milk (can anyone say " LEAKY GUT " ???). Our only recourse now is HEMP MILK, which is expensive and a lot of it is sweetened, and sweetened with brown rice syrup...and guess who's also allergic to rice?? However, there are a FEW brands that come either unsweetened or sweetened with sugar. If you don't have sugar issues (but of course you do with yeast!), there is also hazelnut milk...but it's even harder to come across and is always sweetened with brown rice syrup. Didn't want to butt in, but my son has the same " milk issues " . > > > > > > > >  > > before you go down the diflucan/fluconazole route, i would suggest sending your OAT results to a wonderful woman called susan costen owens who heads up research for a low oxalate project for the ARI. you can get in touch with her through her website lowoxalate.info. she will be able to look at your OAT results and tell you if your child also has a high oxalate issue. she is extremely helpful and responsive so you won't have to wait long for answers. if so, it might be more beneficial for your child to start a low oxalate diet and supplementation of b6, p5p, magnesium and biotin. i say all this because i had my kid on diflucan for a month and then ketoconazole for another two weeks and her symptoms just seemed to be getting worse and worse. in desperation one night i reached out to a number of forums including 's and she said that my child might not be able to handle the detox with meds and in fact may be exacerbating an oxalate issue that has > > yeast like symptoms. i have since moved over to her recommendations and am slowly waiting to see the changes. last night for the first time in a very long time my daughter had a proper night of sleep and her belly is starting to be less bloated. i am also going to test a parasite cleanse by a company called humaworm. some people with autistic kids are reporting some very interesting finds. this is particularly relevant to me because i just treated my kid for threadworms and i have a feeling there is more going on there. anyway, just some food for thought..... > > take care > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > From: alexis_d3378 <alexis_d3378@> > > To: mb12valtrex > > Sent: Friday, September 9, 2011 8:58 PM > > Subject: Just received OAT results finally! Guest guest
Just something to consider:I'll be starting antiviral/antifungal/antibacterial protocol. The DAN doctor alsoadvised actvated charcoal, 4 capsules a week. I'm thinking this is to help indie-off reaction. And also, she said to make sure that my daughter is notconstipated and will have bowel movement everyday so she gave usMilk of magnesia. I know kids are different but I wanted to share thisbecause long time ago, I was advised to give activated charcoal and sinceI have no idea what in the world is that, I did not follow the advice.I love you guys! -mhelTo: mb12valtrex From: bellbaby@...Date: Fri, 9 Sep 2011 16:53:22 -0400Subject: Re: Re: Just received OAT results finally! Guest guest
is, My son is also allergic to coconut...VERY allergic. He has also become allergic to almond, soy, cashew, and oats (all for which there are alternative milks). There is hazelnut milk, but it is difficult to find and all of the brands I've found contain brown rice syrup...and guess who is allergic to rice??? (can you say " LEAKY GUT " ??). The only milk we have left is HEMP MILK. Anyways, just thought I'd BUTT IN, since my son's got a thing for his morning and nightly cup of warmed milk. > > > > > > > >  > > before you go down the diflucan/fluconazole route, i would suggest sending your OAT results to a wonderful woman called susan costen owens who heads up research for a low oxalate project for the ARI. you can get in touch with her through her website lowoxalate.info. she will be able to look at your OAT results and tell you if your child also has a high oxalate issue. she is extremely helpful and responsive so you won't have to wait long for answers. if so, it might be more beneficial for your child to start a low oxalate diet and supplementation of b6, p5p, magnesium and biotin. i say all this because i had my kid on diflucan for a month and then ketoconazole for another two weeks and her symptoms just seemed to be getting worse and worse. in desperation one night i reached out to a number of forums including 's and she said that my child might not be able to handle the detox with meds and in fact may be exacerbating an oxalate issue that has > > yeast like symptoms. i have since moved over to her recommendations and am slowly waiting to see the changes. last night for the first time in a very long time my daughter had a proper night of sleep and her belly is starting to be less bloated. i am also going to test a parasite cleanse by a company called humaworm. some people with autistic kids are reporting some very interesting finds. this is particularly relevant to me because i just treated my kid for threadworms and i have a feeling there is more going on there. anyway, just some food for thought..... > > take care > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > From: alexis_d3378 <alexis_d3378@> > > To: mb12valtrex > > Sent: Friday, September 9, 2011 8:58 PM > > Subject: Just received OAT results finally! Guest guest
Thanks ! My son also has several nut allergies including coconut and when we gave him hazelnut milk, it actually made him more yeasty. He never really had issues with goat milk or yogurt so I am wondering if that is the answer. Also our naturopath recommends rotating food groups and it is not possible if we only have one option. is > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > before you go down the diflucan/fluconazole route, i would suggest sending your OAT results to a wonderful woman called susan costen owens who heads up research for a low oxalate project for the ARI. you can get in touch with her through her website lowoxalate.info. she will be able to look at your OAT results and tell you if your child also has a high oxalate issue. she is extremely helpful and responsive so you won't have to wait long for answers. if so, it might be more beneficial for your child to start a low oxalate diet and supplementation of b6, p5p, magnesium and biotin. i say all this because i had my kid on diflucan for a month and then ketoconazole for another two weeks and her symptoms just seemed to be getting worse and worse. in desperation one night i reached out to a number of forums including 's and she said that my child might not be able to handle the detox with meds and in fact may be exacerbating an oxalate issue that has > > > yeast like symptoms. i have since moved over to her recommendations and am slowly waiting to see the changes. last night for the first time in a very long time my daughter had a proper night of sleep and her belly is starting to be less bloated. i am also going to test a parasite cleanse by a company called humaworm. some people with autistic kids are reporting some very interesting finds. this is particularly relevant to me because i just treated my kid for threadworms and i have a feeling there is more going on there. anyway, just some food for thought..... > > > take care > > > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > > From: alexis_d3378 <alexis_d3378@> > > > To: mb12valtrex > > > Sent: Friday, September 9, 2011 8:58 PM > > > Subject: Just received OAT results finally!
