Guest guest
Could be? Thank you Always Call Christie Gravatt We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience! Subject: Re: bedwettingTo: mb12valtrex Date: Thursday, February 16, 2012, 9:54 PM My first thought is that the extra exercise is helping him sleep deeper and better and he's not waking up when he needs to go. Is this a possibility?Cathy>> My 7 year old will wet the bed at random??? During soccer season and now basketball season. Never in between. Usually the same day he had a practice or game. His dad is a coach and is very gentle with great patience. He prefers him over me actually. We watch the food/drinks. Nothing unusal there??? He LOVES playing and can not wait to play, but every night he plays or practices he wets the bed. He has Aspergers. I can not figure out what is triggering this. He is obcessed with playing ball so I don't want to take this from him. Any guidance would help thanks> > > Â > Â Â Always Call> Christie Gravatt> > > We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience!>
Guest guest
Well, I have a different take. How about you social story for him what is happening (play soccer, wet bed) and then ask him for a solution. He might surprise you. If it's not a problem for him, he isn't going to want to change his behavior. You might have to make it a problem for him. If he doesn't have a solution, or he doesn't perceive it as a problem, simply put on a Depends for that night and let it become part of the soccer experience. Just deal with it, no fuss, no muss, no comments. Absolutely neutral. My guess is that it will stop my itself as he (and his bladder) grow. I know of many, many, seven year old boys who still pee in the bed at night. It's like a mom secret. If he doesn't like what is happening but doesn't have a solution, say you want to try a possible solution. Re-do the social story and propose that you will get him up at ?2am? to go potty. If he is dry in the morning, whoopee! If he is wet, stay totally neutral and change the time you get him to go to the bathroom. My children, both boys, were extremely sound sleepers and would do the same thing after exercise: pee in the bed. Eventually they learned to pee in thei toilet in their sleep. My eldest Asperger son still pees in the toilet when he is asleep and he is 18. He can even have a conversation and the next day have no recall at all. My non-Asperger son still pees in the toilet when he is asleep and tells me to get the hell outta the bathroom when he is in there!
Guest guest
Hi, ever think of a bedwetting alarm? I use this for toilet training but it is intended for bedwetting. A little sensor attaches to the outside of the underwear and an alarm goes off at the slightest drop of urine to wake the child up to remind them to use the toilet, the alarm is not that bad but enough to wake the child up. If you goggle the bedwetting store they sell them. Guest guest
The leptin reset diet http://jackkruse.com/my-leptin-prescription/ is what I am using for MYself;I have no idea how to do that for a child other than to use SCD/GAPS/paleo. The thought of making my kids paleo is a tough one for me. So anyway... B5 is supposed to help I think. My son pees the bed intermittently, not often enough to warrant pullups or anything. It is usually due to oxalate dumping, at least there seems to be a pattern with that. He seems better when I give him magnesium at night but recently here I've just been waking himat 11/12 when I go to bed, to have him use the toilet, and then I help him back to bed, and I go to sleep. He's 5.5. Can't take ball from him either. I think you just hit the nail on the head!!!! His adreanal levels are always very high with every test we do. He is on supp and bio meds to help reduce the levels. But with all the excitement and noise of playing sports, it may increase the levels. I may have to increase his supp for this during ball season to help him. Does anyone know natural ways to reduce adreanal levels? Certain foods or vitamins? I have a sports-obsessed guy here, took - I couldn't imagine taking it away from him. Just a thought: does he show signs of adrenal fatigue? I wonder if that would play a role. -TammySent from my Kindle Fire -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Click to find info about Vitamins and Minerals:http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10150543521682565 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Click to find links to info about the Low Oxalate Diet :http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10150543495292565 ------Toni------Mind like a steel trap...Rusty and illegal in 37 states. Guest guest
I have my little guy on Adrenergize and its made an enornourmous difference. I know some parents dose it two to three times a day but my guy responds really well to one a day. Have you had your guy's thyroid tested?? The adrenals will work way too hard when the thyroid isn't functioning properly. -Tammy Sent from my Kindle Fire Sent: Fri Feb 17 10:18:31 EST 2012 To: mb12valtrex Subject: Re: Re: bedwetting Can't take ball from him either. Guest guest
LOL about the extra laundry... that is why I wake mine up.Also, you could teach him how to do laundry and see if that helps his subconscious wake upbetter.
