,

Congratulations to you for receiving your recent certification I hope you will

have a long and enjoyable career in EMS. I also hope you will keep the

enthusiasm you have expressed on the list server. Good luck in finding a job

there are some very good providers in Texas and I hope you find one that is

willing to help you continue growing in this profession.

I wish I could take credit for your acknowledgement but it was the staff in our

Certification department who work very hard every day to get you all certified

in a timely manner (because we do 100% background checks in Texas it takes a

little longer to process our applications). I didn't realize how hard our staff

works until I had the pleasure of working beside them during the flooding of our

building. They worked so hard during this disaster to get initials and renewals

certified under some very stressful situations including entering our unsafe

building to retrieve the applications they had begun processing. We certify and

recertified several hundred applicants a day, it's always a pleasure for me to

acknowledge those of you who have worked so hard to achieve their EMS

certification.

Congratulation to you and all of the initial applicants on becoming certified

in the Greatest EMS State in the country.

State EMS Director
