Guest guest
Hi, My son is 14 and is diagnosed with PDD-NOS now. He was diagnosed at 11 with Aspergers, but prior to that we did not have a formal diagnosis. We (and his teachers, etc...) saw him more as quirky and very bright. As he grew older, he seemed to have more and more problems with socialization, focus and anxiety. He also struggled with tantrums which were quite bad, but which resolved on MB-12 Nasal Spray (God bless you Stan) and then after a while we switched to the shots. He now is on MB-12 shots every other night and is tantrum free. We are homeschooling him this year as he is not quite ready emotionally or socially for high school. But without question, MB-12 has been a miracle for us. The only other supplement we actually saw an improvement on, is LDN cream which he has been on for a year. We are now going to start him on Anti-virals. We got a prescription for Valtrex but I was concerned about the blue dye and how horrible it would taste for my son if we were to rinse off the dye. So our doctor told us there was a dye free version, Valacyclovir Hydrochloride. I have read through a lot of the files here, and I am a bit confused if this one is safe to use, or should it be Valtrex only (or the generic Valtrex?) I do NOT want to cause any mutation of any viruses and my son tends to have atypical reactions to things, so I am nervous to start this without learning as much as I can. Also, though my son has done several rounds of Diflucan and Nystatin in the past, and his recent testing indicated that his yeast levels are way down, the DAN! doc does not currently have my son on an anti-fungal. I don't think we should start the antiviral without an anti-fungal in place, right? I apologize as I'm sure these questions have been asked before, but I read through many of the files and still am confused and nervous. Thank you in advance,
Guest guest
Valacyclovir hydrochloride *is* generic Valtrex and is perfectly fine to use.
