On Father's Day, I posted about nada (aka Mimi) ambushing us at a family

gathering. We have been NC for a few years. My six year old was upset because

we had to leave and she didn't get to play with her cousin.

This week we scheduled a play date with the cousin at an aunt's house. When I

told my daughter about the play date, she said, " Good. There won't be any

Mimi-blast. "

" Mimi-blast? What do you mean? "

" A blast is like an explosion, Mom. And I think you know what I mean. "

Yes. I certainly do.

We are very careful not to talk badly about Nada around my daughter, but it's

amazing what she learned from just one brief episode.
