Guest guest
Hi everyone, Got CDSA result back which shows elevated total short chain fatty acids, no growth of lactobacillus, 4+ Ecoli,4+ bifidobacterium, 2+ gamma hemolytic strep and 3+klebsiella. There is no growth of yeast. I am concerned about elevated scfa and I have read that it is a sign of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth which I was suspecting based on his symptoms also. Has anyone dealt with elevated scfa or small intestinal bacterial overgrowth? Experienced people with cdsa! please comment on the result. Somebody had suggested in the previous posts that my son seemed to have issue with zinc/copper ratio and yes! this time his zinc/copper ratio has increased to 1.08 from 0.9. We were supplementing 50 mg of zinc and we had reduced it to 20 mg about a month ago. If too much zinc is given, it can cause copper deficiency symptoms. His copper level has dropped from 135 to 108 and zinc has also decreased from 122 to 117 but the zinc/copper ratio has increased. Also he has elevated Hb with elevated MCV which didn't make sense to me as there is no hemoconcentration(no elevation is wbc or platelet). Anyone with zinc/copper ratio knowledge, please comment on my son's result. We had also received OAT result last week which showed elevated markers for yeast/endogenous oxalates??? Thanks is
