Warm, definately...I usually set the heat at 66* at night, the past two days when I get up the thermostat has been at 72*, so the heat hasn't been coming on (and I have been saving power!). Yesterday (and it looks like today too) I've had to turn on the a/c in the afternoon!!!

Robbin is happy, been playing his favorite game (and so have I), he rides his bike several times a day for exercise.

I have several things up on auction on eBay, got a bid on one thing so far, the auctions end today (most will be re-listed).

Not much decorating, though, for the holidays...mostly because I HAVE no decorations, and no money to get them. Rob's mom did send over one of those electric candelabras, some garland and a string of lights, so I DO have a few things up. The candelabra is something that Rob remembers from when HE was a child! ZThe garland and the lights were new. I will return them all after the holidays.

I have a turkey breast to cook for Christmas day, I'll get a ham if I get a chance to go shopping before then. I have some black-eyed peas to make for New Year's.

Guess that's about it for now.

Oh, and cooking, I can't make pastry (no rolling pin) but if I can get to the store I will make mince-meat tarts. With the sweet mince-meat, not the MEAT mince-meat. They're easy, mom used to make them and I loved them! You just cut out 2 rounds, fill the bottom of one with the mincemeat (the stuff that comes in a jar), top with the other round and crimp the edges, bake till brown and top with powdered sugar. Easy and SO yummy!

Geez, Akiba! Rub it in about the Florida weather! lol. Perhaps if you sell some stuff on ebay, you could find some cheap decorations at the dollar store, or at an ebay store...just a thought.love you sis, KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Fri, December 17, 2010 2:03:26 PMSubject: Re: update time

Hi Everyone, I have been busy taking care of the family. has been sick a lot. He will be having upper and lower GI's next week. My MS has been acting up a lot. I think some of it is from stress. I am falling almost everyday. I am having some speech issues. The fatigue has been pretty bad for the last 3 weeks or so. Bill will be going into treatment for drug and alcohol. He is going down to Milwaukee for 60 to 90 days. He will begin treatment on the 4 of January. Margaret A. CoteTo: Group <mserslife >Sent: Fri, December 17, 2010 10:42:26 AMSubject: update time

Chuck's walking is acting up a little bit. Other than that hes ok. We spent part

of early morning in the ER with my 90 yr old Aunt. They aren't sure if its the

flu or food poisoning. Hopefully she will back home tomorrow.

We will have the kids next door over and Aunt n for Christmas day. Our son

in Wis. will be down after Christmas and our daughter won't be up from Tenn. I

think we will have ham, mashed potatoes, potato salad, corn, applesauce but not

sure on bakery yet.

What's

going on in my life? hmmm.. not much..

Still battling the fatigue. But received a very welcomed letter

from the new health insurance plan. Seems they didn't have a

single solitary problem with approving the Provigil for the

fatigue and in fact, rather than it being a yearly "renewal" for

approval.. I've been approved from 10/1/2010 through 9/1/2099

(no that wasn't a typo.. letter does in fact say two thousand

ninety-nine!)..

Being ever vigilant (maybe to the point of obsession) in trying

to prevent another UTI

Had a short reprieve from the headaches (ocular migraines?) but

now their back in full force.. not severely painful, at least

not what I would expect to feel with a "migraine" (but then I do

have MS and the "lack of severe" pain might just be related to

nerve damage somewhere).. but they are here every day.. nagging

away..

Still trying to get into the holiday spirit.. without much

success I might add.. but I am trying.. I keep finding the hooks

from the ornaments on the floor under the tree, but no

ornaments.. I suspect those will be found somewhere.. hidden by

the Zook-ster.. he just loves the ornaments, he's always poking

them with his nose.. I guess to hear them tingle? And he laid

claim to one of them as his very own.. found it buried in

the chair where he sleeps/lives..

We hit Wal-Mart yesterday, and as I rounded one of the corners,

in front of me was some sort of "Star Wars" collectible/toy

thing.. and that reminded me just how much Christmas just isn't

Christmas any more.. Bud was a Stars Wars buff/collector/lover.

BUT the good part of Christmas this year is that Earl will be

with us for Christmas Eve dinner.. so I do have that much, and

am thankful for it as well.. (And he doesn't understand his

mommy worrying about him driving on snow covered roads to get to

work, and just WHY I need him to call me when he gets to work on

those mornings.) just looks at him and sez.. "Humor her"..

cause "When Momma ain't happy Ain't NOBODY happy"... LOL

Have not watched a single Christmas show.. and I know that is

killing , cause he loves them all.. No, I'm wrong.. I did

watch "The Santa Claus" with him when it was on last week.. And

we do have a tree (in fact two trees) this year.. and the porch

roof is lit with icicle lights.. So I'm getting there.. slowly

and hopefully surely..

I'm ready for the snow to leave.. Then the squirrel wouldn't be

doing home remodeling in the ceiling of my kitchen.. And I will

NOT allow to fix the opening where the fascia or whatever

it's called came off.. because if it was going to be fixed, it

should have been fixed BEFORE the squirrel started putting his

winter food stores up there.. So we'll have to deal with the

additions and remodeling noises until spring arrives.. THEN he

BETTER get up and get it closed off!.. and I'll hope that the

squirrel doesn't do too much damage while he's up there..

I would have been perfectly happy to have the white stuff come

down on the 24th.. and have a nice covering that night.. and

maybe throughout the day on the 25th.. but it needs to be all

gone by the 26th!..

And I guess that's just about it for me.. I know.. I'm a bit

behind at this point.. but trying very hard to get caught up

again!

HUGS
