Guest guest
i was a question. rhetorical?? maybe smart-aleck?? yes, but just a question not a criticism jim davis paramedic Subject: Re: just ambulance drivers with the oCcasional bullet wizzing past o To: texasems-l Date: Wednesday, July 9, 2008, 11:37 AM To All Who Criticize, " With the occasional bullet whizzing past our heads " is a line in a poem. We all know that we would not intentionally enter a scene that is unsafe. Especially if there is the potential to be shot. But one never knows when a seemingly stable scene will become unstable. EMS work is very unpredictable; we all know that. But this is a line in a poem used to make a point about what we do and why we do it. Give the girl some credit; whether she found this poem or wrote it I personnaly think it is good and tells a great story. Stop trying to find fault in what is written and look at the CONTEXT it is written in. And to another critic, yes there are times when the attendant in the back of the ambulance is unrestrained, I for one can't reach my patient to provide care if I am sitting on the bench with a seat belt on. I bet everyone on this list at one time or another has cared for a patient in the back of an ambulance and has been " unrestrained. " Give the girl a break she is new and excited, let's not burst her bubble with petty criticism. My 0.02 for what it's worth. Anita BSHS, NREMTP/LP Take care and stay safe always. " Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. " (Proverbs: 16:3) May God Smile on you today.
