Guest guest
Here's a puzzler for all you EMS dewds and dewdettes and nursees. You get called to the local nursing home, Graveside Manor Nursing Home and Crematorium, for a 90 year old lil old lady who is bedridden due to having fallen and broken L3, 4, and 5 about 6 weeks ago. She has a Foley, of course, and the urine in it is PURPLE!!! She is afebrile, BP 100/74, Pulse 100, Respirations 24 and clear (as clear as she ever is). Skin is pink, warm and dry. Nursing staff says that they began noticing the purple urine last night and have no idea what's causing it. She has no new prescriptions. Of course, you and your partner know exactly what's causing it. What is it? No fair Googling! Docs, hold off till the medics have a chance, please. GG ************** Get the scoop on last night's hottest shows and the live music scene in your area - Check out TourTracker.com! Guest guest
I would suggest PUBS or Purple Urine Bag Syndrome. She probably has constipation and a urinary infection.
