Could the damage from the fall be repaired???hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. I think.. some of it from having to take the Esgic (might have be prescribed for the migraines, but works well when the knee is screaming louder than a banshee, and nothing I do for or with it helps).. take a pill, think I'll watch a movie or something.. end up having to watch two or three times to actually watch the whole thing.. But if I'm not having to take the Esgic, for the knee, then the fatigue will get me.. and Thursday evening was the Christmas Party for the Funeral Home crew.. and what a fiasco that turned out to be.. well for me anyway.. The ladies that planned this years party.. either didn't think to find out, or just plain didn't care (turns out more of the latter) if the restaurant was handicapped accessible.. or just how accessible it was.. They scheduled the party for a downstairs room.. and then didn't bother to switch it to the upstairs when told (by more than one person) that I could NOT do stairs.. They didn't reschedule.. we arrived first.. was turning around and taking me home.. the staff panicked (but they weren't aware that the change needed to be made, because the planner didn't call to change it).. The wheelchair ramp.. well it was blocked with chairs with menus stacked on them.. Had to wait till they moved those.. then at the end of the ramp, there was something else blocking the path.. and also had to literally pick up the back of my chair to pivot it around a corner, because the corners were blocked as well.. with immovable objects!.. and the ladies room was a straight in the door shot type deal.. no room to maneuver the chair.. and not a single grab rail in the room.. wasn't washing hands after either.. because one cannot access their sink from a wheelchair.. height one factor, and it also had a full cabinet under it.. not to mention the wheelchair only fit in that room in ONE direction.. THEN.. at least 3 of us developed a case of the must find a bathroom quick!!! shortly after the meal!.. Didn't realize just how stressed all of that made me.. so some added fatigue following this excursion.. LOL.. Now I'm playing catch up.. or trying to.. before I have to take another nap.. Guest guest
I haven't called one to set up an appointment as of yet.. I was in the process of getting in to see him last year when everything went numb on the left side.. (and then it was the left knee hurting from the fall.. now it doesn't).. didn't think it would be too good to try and see the orthopedic about the knee until the flare was under control.. and I could balance enough again for the physical therapy that would follow surgery.. I was going to see the knee doctor that my friend from Social Security is/was using, because she's in the same hospital grouping as my neurologist, so it wouldn't be hard for them to pull each others records and keep each other informed or work together.. Unfortunately, she ordered him a knee brace, the brace hasn't been delivered.. and she hasn't returned any of the 4 (or more) calls that he's made to her.. So I'm waiting again.. to see.. definitely want someone down that way.. HUGS |)onna What does your doc say about your knee pain?
