Hi

We started three lac and my son seemed to regress. I was thinking it was just

yeast die off so I continued. I then thought maybe this was a yeast flare s he

was extra weepy so I started him on diflucan. Well holly acetone breath! I m

now thinking it is acid from yeast die off. He actually had slight acid breath

ith three lac. I had started with only half pack a day. I think it was too

much.

Am I on the right track here? I hate this regression. He had

been doing so well.

His eye contact s just awful, I have never seen it so bad.

Any thoughts would be great!

Be careful using probiotics like three lac that contain a strep strain as it can cause PANDAS in our kids. We really like a probiotic that is very potent called CUstom Probiotics www.customprobiotics.com There is no strep strain. You also do have to start slow with probiotics and work up.

when i first started biomed over a year ago i got some what i thought great probiotics...and his behavior got worse. i thought die off....but after two weeks of only bad and no gains.....i decided that it wasnt die off and was the probiotic itself....it is a tufff call to figure out die off from just plain bad reaction to supp...acetone breath his body is extremely acidic...maybe try a single strain probiotic see if thats easier...

In the book, No More Heartburn (The Safe, Effective Way to Prevent & Heal Chronic Gastrointestinal Disorders) by Sherry , MD, she mentions bad breath as a symptom of Helicobacter pylori. In her book, she says it is easy to get rid of with over the counter drugstore products. It is an excellent book for adults and children and she lays out a simple plan for getting gut health back.sally To: "mb12valtrex " <mb12valtrex > Sent: Sunday, February 26, 2012 5:41 PM Subject: Re: Acetone breath

Hi susan,I thought it was vsl that has the strep strain not 3lac? Can you or anyone tell us if the pandas doctors specifically recommend avoiding vsl and other probiotics with the strep strain? My kids have done the best on vsl (ive tried custom probiotics) and 3lac but I am concerned about pandas (they have oxalates and clostridia so this is probably why they do well on it). Many thanks,-- Sent from my Palm Pre

Both VSL and three lac have the strep strain. You may want to consider Custom Probiotics www.customprobiotics.com To: "mb12valtrex "
