Well at least he did get a Dx, so many go for years in limbo, getting "the word" isn't great, but knowing is better then not knowing. I hope his surgery goes well and is totally succesful.

-- Today's appointment...

So today was ’s neurosurgeon appointment. The doctor confirmed that it is MS. He also scheduled ’s neck surgery for July 23rd. They are going to remove cartilage and widen the spine. Then put bone in and fuse it. There are no guarantees that this will improve ’s mobility. It will take two to three months after the surgery to even see if it helped. His MS is kicking his butt right now. He is exhausted. Poor man.

I hope it's some relief to at least have a Dx, and to have the surgery

scheduled. I have a friend who had such a surgery about 10 years ago, and

he was back to heavy weapons fighting, archery, and blacksmithing within the

year. Prayers that has a similar outcome!

How does feel about having MS confirmed? And how are you doing with all of this? Please know that we are all here for you anytime. I think you have seen enough of the group to know you can share your troubles as well as your good times; your questions are always welcome and we love to hear all about the silly stuff that happens (including what's for dinner:). Sharon,

is doing better than I expected.  He is having

a tough time accepting his limitations.  He is used to going and doing.

I am used to being a care taker.  My mother is ill

and lives with us.  My father passed away two years ago and he lived with us

and I took care of him.
