Guest guest
FYI: Dr. Chlapek was an attending at and White while I was a resident. He was a great guy and excellent physician. His son is a fire chief in Missouri. He will be missed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------- It is with great sadness that I am writing to let everyone know of the death of Dr. Ben Chlapek. Ben has been senior staff in the Department of Emergency Medicine for 26 years. He was a man of faith, a great father and an outstanding physician and teacher. He loved & White and always talked about what a privilege it was to practice here. His gentle nature and caring for all patients who sought care in the ED served as a role model for countless resident physicians. He will be greatly missed by the department and the institution. Viewing will be at Scanio Harper Funeral Home, 3110 Airport Road in Temple on Tuesday July 29 from 5 PM to 7 PM. The funeral service will be held Wednesday July 30th at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Temple, 102 West Barton in Temple. Please keep his wife Carolyn and the Chlapek family in you thoughts and prayers. Respectfully, C. Stone, MD, FACEP Professor and Chairman Department of Emergency Medicine Texas A & M University System Health Science Center College of Medicine & White Clinic
